Yes, I know it's going to be full of stereotypes and my Jewish friends will be cringing but will watch it anyway I can't wait though!!! I'm recording it and will have a rubbish tv fest at the end of the week.

After watching that video I can see them been on My Sweet 16 next. I love seeing rich people's houses! Smile. I was in Radlett yesterday at my friends impressive house and I asked her where she thought Emma's was and she said that the big houses are all at "the other side" of Radlett. My friends has a mere six bedrooms so god knows how many the ones on "the other side" have.

I'm quite impressed, I've rewarded her with a freddo.

That blogs quite funny. Am intrigued by Emma and her family although more by the fact it doesn't give her age. It appears her husband does a bit of footballing too.

I didn't like ruth either, she was like a 12 year old school girl with glasses man and with the batmitzvah challenge she started off by saying she was out of touch with youth then trying to dominate the entire thing.

I think that's a good joke for a 17yo!
But what doI know? My eldest is 4 and his only favourite joke is what's brown and sticky...

She's 17, I'm surprised she knows what they are though.

However she has pointed out to me that I've often harped on in utter disgust about somewhere being like a Yates Blush

this made ma laugh. In a profile of all the Jewish Mothers, the most positive thing they author could say about Ruth was wears sheitel throughout!

really did not like Ruth

LOL have to post this.

In response to me saying Tiger Lily is very Paula Yates, DD1 just said and Gypsy is very Yates Wine Bar Grin

All my 3 are impressed by the video though.

Fuck is she older than me? She looks so good for her age and a mother of 5!

It was John Taylor apparently.

Tiger Lily is very Paula Yates.

God imagine what Ruth must have made of their names. People think my DCs names are a bit odd but they're not this wacky. I wonder if hers have hebrew names too like mine

September Bliss sounds like the name of a slightly racy Mills and Boon novel.

I think if I had her figure, I'd be posting videos of myself in crop tops ALL THE TIME!

Erm, September Bliss if you please!

So. She was a Duranie, wasn't she? Someone from Duran Duran had a child called Atlanta, with Amanda de Cadenet. A Taylor, not sure which.
WOuld have expected at least one to be called Rio.

Interesting, names. I'd have been surprised if she'd had an Emily and a Chloe.

Her children are September, Atlanta, Gypsy, Duran and Tiger Lily!

One Direction performed.

At least she seems a laugh.

Wowzers, embarassing Mum alert. The daughters don't look too mortified though.

Ooh, a bit of judicious (ahem) googling reveals that Mr Emma is Laurence Beck, a chartered surveyor/property investor.

And that Emma became known when a Batmitvah routine that she did with her daughters went viral last year. linky

Frum.Last night I think he said Frummer/a which is basically someone who is frum.

I and my family always use it as someone who is quite observant. So not necessarily orthodox but observant. Although I don't really mix with observant jews and I think amongst them its just for orthodox and hasids.

So yes 6 lady is frum. She is a frumma.

Ooh, I watched this, thought it was ok, but that is more as I am putting them into boxes of Nice, and Not Nice. In Nice, I had the one with curly red hair, the one paired with Ruth, and the one paired with Emma. And the blonde from last week. And Traci-Ann (sp?), who I LOVE.

I didn;'t like Ruth. I would tar her with my worst insult, or 'not having many women friends'. (and I guess she can't really have friendships with blokes in the same way that I do either.) She just can't seem to get on with anyone at all.

Which leads me to ask: what does 'frum' mean? It was said last night and above. Is it just every orthodox, or does it mean more? Is 6 children lady also frum?

The shopkeeper fascinated me, but i think that was nothing to do with him being Jewish more that he was so camp.

I can't work out if I think these Jewish programmes are good or bad. I know that some of my teen DCs friends told me they watched Strictly Kosher, and they seemed quite intrigued by the whole thing. We live in East London so jews, particularly hasids are not that uncommon as in some areas but still they're a bit of a mystery. My DC being mixed race (dh is black) does mean to their friends its all a bit confusing that their jewish but look nothing like what they know as jews. I think these shows help in that respect but then could be damaging at some level.

I like Emma, she's much more my kind of person than some of the others, but I'm quite shallow into things like beauty, fashion and sort of 'younger' attitudes. I would love to know what her husband does.

And ooh Radlett, I wonder if she knows my cousin. She lives in that area and her children attend one of the jewish schools there. Although she doesn't like me and my lack of observance so probably hates Emma!

Oh that was not good. I think there's a person at Channel 4 who's behind all these programmes as they are all so similar. I loved the old chap in strictly kosher and the gay straight shop keeper fascinated me.

I can't take to Emma at all. Her husband must have an amazing job. I love Radlett where she lives.

Yes I like the older one, I think she might be the most likely to win now.

Yes I think a few were conversions. I'm sort of religious, but DH isn't jewish, we didn't have a jewish wedding, although there were certain aspects involved, I haven't really done much with the DC. We just celebrate the holidays and are a bit fussy with our food.

I have friends who have watched Jews at 10 and found it really interesting. I much prefer it to Strictly Kosher which I found bloody awful.

I think she's very bossy that one. Likes to be in control. I like the older one from Leeds. They all look very familiar to me for some reason!! I know what you mean about been surprised by the celebs who are Jewish on that programme. I don't think many of them are religious as such. Two of them were conversions, weren't they and I think most of them have married out. It's like taking the best bits. Like we all do!!! I'd forgotten about Charlotte and Harry in SATC. Makes me want to watch that as well!

Bizarrely it made me want to watch Fiddler on the Roof. David Schneider has been particularly good in it. Also been surprised by some of those people being jewish.

Glasses guy was awful, the way he behaved, I can't imagine his mother will be pleased. Going on about how wonderful he is at dating, yet he's still single.

Is it just me who thinks the woman with the 6 children comes across as crazy. She keeps crying.
