Hi,
My 18 year old DS has a part time job in Argos and has said he feels he can’t continue there anymore.
He started last summer and works Saturdays and Sunday’s alongside another colleague. He had no manager as she was off sick for a while and so he was thrown in at the deep end with no training so he had to lean on this colleague for support and ask her for help quite a lot.
I think she started to get pissed off, she appeared to be grumpy and unfriendly around him and made remarks to him both front of customers and away from customers for example, he was helping a customer with their new tablet and he must have made mistake and she said to him “that’s not the way you do that, that’s completely wrong”
He has also said that when he goes on his breaks she looks at the clock and then tells him when he needs to come back.
There’s so much more, but she found out through another colleague that knows my sister that DS has a learning difficulty and then she went and told other staff members about this.
Apparently she also has been slabbering about him too.
Anyway, he reported this to his manager and apparently she spoke to this colleague. She isn’t as rude anymore but she doesn’t speak to him, they basically work in silence the whole shift.
There was a new girl that started and DS told her he thinks that the other colleague is a bitch and told her all about her (over Facebook Messenger) this new girl has gotten very close to the manager and DS is worried that she’ll tell his manager he has been slabbering about the other colleague and he’ll lose his job.
Is he right to be worried? I’ve told him not to tell anyone anything no matter how much you think you can trust them.
