ds2 is 14 , he told me he had been out to the park and mentioned that he had seen someone from school ( a lad who lives on the nxt street) and that he was in the woods with an air rifle.
i have just seen some messages from this lad , asking ds2 if he wants to meet in the woods for a 10 bag , then he says come to the woods for some notes , that he will make about 8 ?
he then , the next day , tells ds2 that his others mates mum has called the police , they went out the night before and his mates mum found out ??
i am intending to talk to ds2 about this but i cant until tonight , he is also a massive lier .
I try to keep ds2 very close to home , he has aspergers syndrome and our last appointment with camhs advised me to try giving him more freedom , i explained he makes a beeline for trouble , this sounds like trouble to me .
what the hell is a 10 bag ?
and what are notes ?
worried again Sad

thankyou everyone , the lad offering the 10 bag is also a 14 year old and also has ASD . I dont think ds2 has had any , he said that this boy was just joking , possibly but probably not.

I didnt get much info from ds2 because as usual me asking him about it triggered a big meltdown but he did blurt out ' as if i would go around leaving suicide notes ' so , thats what the notes were . DS2 has unfriended him on facebook.

I know i ought to go and see the mother , but , several years ago when ds2 was about 10 , we had the police knock on our door , having been sent by this boys mother complaining that ds2 had been bullying her son at school. She had sent the police to a few others kids houses too. i went in to see the head at school the next morning and was told that ds2 was not bullying ( thought not) and this mother was just lashing out as her son had been getting the wrong end of the stick due to his ASD and was upset at the recent diagnosis.

According to ds2 , the boy has said that his mother still hates ds2 .
so , i dont think she would be very approachable . her boyfriend isnt a very nice man either from what i have heard.
still , if it isnt a joke i suppose i will have to just in case.

"a 10 bag" = a bag of cannabis worth £10

"notes" could mean money, but in the context (offering, not asking for) it is probably the other slang use of "notes" = "nice", so "come to the woods for some notes" = "come to the woods for something nice".

"will make about 8" might mean 8 joints, but may also mean the 10 bag will be about 1/8th oz in weight. (A tenner for an 8th would be very cheap, so maybe worth emphasising/boasting about). Alternatively, "I'll make about 8" might just be the time he thinks he'll get there!

As well as the weed, I'd personally be worried about the air gun. A stoned boy with an air rifle sounds like very bad news to me. :(

Personally, I would report it to the police. But I guess you need to take account of how vulnerable your DS2 is: your police report is not going to make him at all popular...

Report the dealer to the Police, use the online messages as evidence, he may get a reprimand. Skunk smells very different to cannabis leaves - not sweet at all - it stinks! I once had the misfortune to run over a skunk in N. America and now know why cannabis buds are called skunk. If DS2 is a liar, I doubt he'll admit to buying or taking drugs, so look out for them. As I'm sure you're aware, it's illegal to have them on your premises. If you find that DS2 has bought &/or used cannabis, I would use the strictest sanction you can think of - find the thing that DS2 really cares about & take it away from him for at least 2 weeks. I am talking from experience - you do not want DS2 to become dependant on this drug.

ps: also perhaps a little talk on how it DOES affect certain people long term (there will be plenty on here no doubt who says it doesn't) and I have seen this personally more than once...memory problems, paranoia, depression... Not nice

Its cannabis...usually in my experience (not personal I hasten to add!) you can usually smell it...sweet smell I seem to remember. watch out for the giggles and munchies too.

would it be a bad idea to maybe speak to the police and explain that there seems to be a lad offering mine drugs ?

Good question.
Sniff their fingers to check and take away play stations / pocket money etc. Don't know though honestly, teenagers using drugs is a big problem and we should not be complacent, they are everywhere. Hope someone can make a useful suggestion.

10 bag is definitely a drug reference, usually £10 of weed/skunk. Perhaps he's going to make 8 joints out of it and sell them.

I think a 10 bag mean £10 worth of weed.

I think a 10 bag refers to a bag of weed. Have a look the Urban Dictionary

My instinct is that 10 bag is cannabis and that notes are either money or rizlas.

Sorry - hope I'm wrong.

I have no idea what it actually means but it sounds like drugs. This could either be major bragging or something you need to deal with.

Could you ask ds1 what it means?
