Received boots - pictures of profile - do they look silly?

I have the mes ones (came today - £50 off ebay!!), and they are a bit wide on my leg. I think because I have long legs, they come up shorter on me than I thought they would....and because of that they are a bit wide.

I have taken side view and front view pictures (I love them from the front!)

What do you think? I know they will look fine with jeans tucked in, but I do want to wear then with dresses and skirts too.

I saw these today, in the longer/taller style, they are lovely.

Have also seen someone I know wearing the ones you have jewels, with red tights and black dress or skirt.

Jewels will be growing a big head with all those lovely comments! (and young, well I like to think that I am, but being 32 on christmas day I am like whre did the time go?!!)

Yeah I think as long as I wear them with a bit of attitude they deserve and be like 'yep I have a gap but so what?' then I'll be fine

P.S bought a dress from joe browns which I hope will look nice with them:
www.joebrowns.co.uk/sp+Womens-Dresses-Tunics-Flattering-Floral-Dress+LD106 and then wear my fitted tux jacket? Well these are the kind of dresses I wear all the time, and occasional mini jersey dress.

The longer ones are Mol which are gorgeous, but mine are the shorter Mes ones. Maybe a gap on the longer ones would have been harder to pull off (though I will have to try some on and then perhaps add to christmas list) because I'd love some in the dark brown.
