I was always horrible the next day - tears etc . Felt lovely though and fixed my various issues that I was going for.

thank you

meg - yes that is a side effect, lots of toxins are discharged in various ways.

i find it fasinating, whilst training and doing my case studies i had one client being able to sleep again, and once she had a blocked ear which cleared fully within 2 hours of treatment.
i also got my 15 year old cousin through her GCSEs relativly stress free which was fab.

i cant wait to practice properly.

(keep the stories coming!)

Ooh, I qualified as a reflexologist about 10 years ago, but never had much chance to anything more as my ds came along soon after, and turned out to have cerebral palsy, so that was the end of my dream.

However, I do remember a few clients, and one in particular - an elderly gent whose hand was so stiff he could not use it. I only did reflexology on that hand (no time for anything more, it was only a 10 minute "taster" session), and the next day he came back and told me that he had feeling back in his hand. I was so pleased!

And an elderly lady who could only move slowly around her home, and only downstairs. It was very painful to move around. I worked on her feet for about 5 sessions, once per week. She told me that she had walked outside, and back again, and the pain was much reduced. Lovely!

I used to go to a brilliant lady who used to do it from her home. I had to sit in a squashy recliner chair and she would give me a duvet to keep me cosy . TBH I nearly always dozed off as it was so relaxing. She did suss out from my feet that I had a minor back problem and IBS, it was very spooky as I was otherwise perfectly healthy. I used to get a bit of a detox / runny tummy the day after, presumably a detox-y side effect.

It's a lovely treatment, I used to have it weekly where I worked. Very relaxing for me.

It's very hard on your hands though - my therapist could only do two clients a day (she did other beauty work too) as her hands found it terribly tiring.
