Oh, I love coloured tights. Also have purple and teal plus grey. Have just bought some stripey/stripy ones as well. Not worn them yet just keep stroking them when see them in teh drawer.

I have legs like a Victorian snooker table - see the thread about boots for the generous of calf - but still am addicted to coloured tights. If the tights are darkish and opaque I think they work quite well on the not-so-perfect leg - at least as well as black opaques of which I'm heartily sick after wearing them for a decade.

I keep reading this as purple thighs. Which I suppose you would have if you were wearing purple tights. I think coloured tights could look ok, but legs must be in pretty good shape.

M&S - £4 a pair. I have purple and teal - have had loads of compliments on them too. I just wear them with a black pencil skirt, black top and black Mary Janes as I am still not far enough removed from earlier gothdom to mix colours at all.

I feel that I NEED a plum velvet jacket though. Is it current season?

I've just bought three pairs from Peacocks - maroony purple, dark greeny blue and a lovely grey. And they are lovely and soft. They were £4 each. I had to restrain myself not to buy more.

Before I buy more tights I need another skirt as only really have one short one in a khaki colour - kind of combat stylee.

Could do with a nice dark denim one (fat face had one in summer, bloody knew I should have bought it but never did) or a black one.

Going to Trafford Centre tomorrow night - could be lethal...

Two pairs for £7 in Dorothey Perkins - I got two pairs of green/turquoise ones today.

I think I have a tights addiction; I've bought seven pairs in two weeks, and I'm not talking those boxes of 5 either.

I got mine in Tesco and get complimented on them a lot.

If I want them to really stand out, I wear them over a pair of white opaques

But I wouldn't have utilised my year old purple tights if it wasn't for youThat is my trouble, loads of clothes but never wear half of them.
You need long sleeved tees Malory. I am not a lover of the Primark ones because they all shrank, prob due to my over enthusiastic laundry tecnique but Marks are ok,as are Topshop,Kew and Boden.
Sometimes you need to think in complete outfits....
