I want a new foundation - is Prescriptives any good??

Please help! I want to invest(!) in a good foundation. I have always had very good skin, however am just recovering from long illness, so have lost a lot of 'glow'. So my old Rimmel/Tesco foundations are not really cutting the mustard any more.

House of Fraser have got a Prescriptives special offer at the mo, so was thinking of buying foundation, powder and concealer. Does anyone else use Precsriptives - what do they think? I don't need heavy coverage, just something to make by skin look less dishraggy!

Chanel colours don't work for me either but the coverage is lovely.

For dry skin you need Vitalumiere. Hate to contradict controlfreaky, esp if she lives up to her name, but I am pinky rather than yellowy and my shade looks lush on me. It is light and dewy and magic.

Dior and Clarins do good concealers. Better than Touche Eclat in my opinion.

If you have dry dull skin (ditto on my side), also ask about better moisterizers and/or primers. Any of the big counters can advise you, but makes a difference. I've been using a moisterizing serum the last few weeks and have definitely seen an improvement (mine is clarins, but I think lots are good)

Will go and get lots of samples - only thing is I get seduced by all the make up counters in dept stores, so know I will end up forking out for something!

chanel shades are v "yellow" and colours no good for me.... need pink tones or look ill and old....
have prescriptives virtual skin. light but v v good and loads of shades. have usually found the counter staff v helpful. ask them to help you find the best product for you... if store does have chanel have a go with both and then choose.

Cargirl - what is the name of the Presc foundation you use (are there lost of different types, God only knows!)

Reason am intersted in Presc is that if you buy 2 products you get a goody bag of treats (I am a sucker for these, my make up bag id full of odd Estee Lauder items which I have bought in order to get the free gifts)

What about concealer - I have got Touche Eclat but not that impressed, frankly.

I use prescriptives lipsticks and love them so am guessing foundation would be good too?

I just invested £25 in a foundation and have to admit it was worth it. Have always used Body Shop or Boots before. My new one is Matt Lumiere (Chanel) (I am a bit shiny) and I'm chuffed to bits with it. The nice lady at the Chanel counter did a colour match and everything.

I have prescriptives and think it's very good, at least they have far more shades than anyone else.
