Next sale: went to preview page (no farkin VIP) slot - EVERYTHING gone and it hasn't even started for us plebs yet...

I was really hoping for a cheap merino tunic and some wideleg pants and some new curtains.

I'm boycotting them now.

Ooooh, ST, thanks for your tip - back on Boden website this morning and got everything I wanted! Lots more stock in my sizes apparently.

OK so I'm considerable number of pound worse off now but at least they were sale prices and I have a wardrobe of workwear for autumn...

Is this really stock returns or do they do this on purpose to make us really really want the stuff when we can't have it so than it makes prevaricators like me just buy next time...? Or am I just overly paranoid?

I exchanged quite a bit last week from my original order,but couldn't make my mind up about the tunic.
Will wait a few days to see what is in stock/further reduced,if nothing takes my eye will exchange for something from Autumn preview I think.
Feels like autumn anyway!

Yes,but when people return things they come back into stock . I wanted something in the christmas sale,carpenter jeans or something,they went out of stock and then came back in.
Worth keeping an eye on it anyway.

really? on the stock thing I mean. My basket was marked in red in very stern words: these are now out of stock and WILL NOT be restocked.

They might well have added 'so next time don't be so bloody indecisive or cocky and just get your bleeding credit card out...' Or perhaps I just imagined that.
