Weirdly attracted to this as loungewear ..

Would make a change from oversized pj bottoms that sag on my arse and jersey mens long-sleeved tees.

I would pass on the socks as don't like stripes much but the soft flow of this delights me.

It is Gudrun Sjoden, and im not much of a fan of their look in general, but this really caught my eye. It's a bit house on the prairie thanks to the petticoat layer but could swap that for something else...

So, anyone think this might make a nice variation on regular night/loungewear, or am I just really, really sick of trouser-y things?

I actually quite like it! In my culture we tend to wear 'house dresses' not too dissimilar for lounging in.

Anyway, the beauty of loungewear is that no-one outside your home is likely to see it.

Anything which deviates from the instagram cloned look does seem to raise some ire on here. And I think many react to this by pointing and laughing (how classy), or otherwise trying to humiliate the more creative ideas with immature put downs.

Im not a fan of Gudrun Sjoden and I am NOT defending this somewhat silly outfit, but Jesus Christ it makes a change. I am tired of thread after thread of shitty acrylic jumpers from warehouse or Uniqlo, or else overpriced cashmere for middle aged middles. Or else being directed to a fucking instagram account belonging to an obvious landfill addict.

If you don't like something someone else chooses to wear, then either move along or just say so - making fun of it is really fucking tragic and smacks of insecurity.

I love it, but like others I have never been brave enough to embrace the style of Gudrun - too many casual people dropping in for a coffee to risk it! They would seriously think I was 'dropping out'.

I was trying to put my thoughts on this dress into words but it turns out someone already did.

It’s fairly awful. Some things (like pyjamas) don’t really need an overhaul. They’re classics.

I love it. I’ve bought so many pj sets that just don’t fit me or wash well, loose and flowing is good.
I’ve had more colourful tunics from Joules and Joe Brown but that might not be your taste. Comfy though.
Also work well with crochet scarves and shawls, which is very much my look. I give zero attention to other peoples opinions most of the time.

Its sort of Amish crossed with japandi. I love it. I’d not wear it because I’m 5‘ with big boobs and I’d look horrible in it but would love the height and figure to suit it.

It’s not my style but I still like that kind of style. I can see why it would appeal for loungewear in the winter.
You could probably get a similar look by layering up cotton or linen dresses/tunics and adding a real wool (maybe from a charity shop) cardigan or jumper over the top.

A couple of weeks ago I got these to wear as WFH lounge-wear. They are both fab, but I particularly like the trousers. They are the same kind of very light cotton as the petticoat you posted, but for me much more practical.

I could only wear them both for WFH though. I don’t really feel I’d be comfortable popping to the supermarket in them.

My Nana had housecoats a bit like that outfit. Can't believe people part with actual money for something that ugly tbh.
For WFH while still being dressed enough to answer the door, I'd go for jumper dresses, with some shape and really soft tights.
