...and also it is my father's wedding. What on earth am I to wear? Useful facts:

I am about 5'6, size 18/20, large of norks and have spent the last year wearing casual clothes on maternity wear. I have nothing suitable to wear and need HELP!!

Definitely knee-length boots, or seafront walk will be a nightmare. Also you're going to need to superglue your hair in place or accept the windswept look as a given.

M&S have some velvet coats, but the pics are so bad you can't see what they look like:
Serena
Ruffle,
rose, and
another rose one, which looks v similar, but has a different product code
and ruched detail
satin rouleau one.
Also another gold one?

YOu see, what you really want is something like this, but it's £189.

OK - for coats, I've found one gold one, and one long jacket (probably not warm enough, but nice detail).
I have no idea what Susannah's doing here, but this might work (again, may not be warm enough), or a tuxedo coat.

I love crochet stuff in Winter with knee length boots. Gorgeous

When in doubt, hit the vintage shops - you might find something spectacularly nice for a reasonable amount of cash - or something you can adapt.

Given the timetable you've outlined, aim for layers that can be added or removed, as well (elaborate shawls or capes for instance).

I'm thinking layers and crochet. Great that you can wear dark colours to Winter wedding

December weddings are fab. V romantic I think. (Guess when my wedding was???)

nice warm registry office then a walk, along the SEAFRONT(!) to a restaurant, then back along the blinking seafront to a theatre for a big party. In December. Madness.
