'Normal' dress for wedding

Can anyone help or advise?

DP and I are planning to get married next year. Very low key registry office style and although I would like to wear a nice dress I don't want to wear a full on wedding dress. I would like to feel special but also have something that I could wear again. I'm happy to spend a few hundred on the right thing so it's not about frugality rather I would like to get lots of enjoyment out of such a special piece instead of it gathering dust in the back of my wardrobe.

The closest dress I've seen in style and colour (I'm set on red) is this one from Boden and although it's more dressy than my day to day it isn't exactly special.

Has anyone seen anything similar in a nicer fabric?
Also, did anyone or is anyone planning to do the same and get married in something they could wear again? How was it for you?

For reference, I'm a size 10, 5'6" and a pear (34, 29, 39)

Thanks for the insight Nearly , probably worth trying one on to see. They do look like heavier fabrics but it's difficult to tell from photos.

Nice to discover a load of new makes that cater for curves, and nice to see some models who can fill out the clothes too Grin
