I never see any fashion in the Guardian I like. Never. But it's only reading this thread that's made me realise that maybe that's because it's so bad, and not because I'm somehow just not getting it! I love Grazia and enjoy their fashion (even the stuff I wouldn't wear) but with the Guardian it's always just wtf?
But even having said that I wonder if JCM and her team are mumsnetters and featured the pink dress and its fabulousness for a laugh / dare :o
Really, it doesn't look like any known style or era. It looks like a collection of oddments sewn together in 20 minutes in the dark by a sealion, it's 100% flipping polyester (of course
), and it has a collection of features that ensure it would suit no one - the high front neck, low back, sack shape and in-your-soup sleeve thing.
It's actually like a work of art, it's so iconically unwearable.
