My forehead is like the surface of the moon, my skin is oilier than an oily slick and it feels tight and sore. I don't know what to tackle first! Help!!!

The micellar to cleanse with isn't enough. It won't do a sufficient job of removing oil and debris and keeping bacteria at bay. I use the Paula's choice oil balancing cleanser and my skin is clear and smooth.

I'd use a proper balm cleanser, body shop do one or Clinique take the day off used with a warm flannel.

I don't wear any make up at all! Ive been using micellar water to cleanse with and only at night and then moisturising with simple moisturiser.

Have you got any reccomendations for a moisturiser?

Don't touch/pick your face, bin make up brushes, use clean hands only. Wash with non coloured or perfumed soap, oil free moisturiser and then a tiny amount of night cream (I love the m&s ultimate sleep one)

Well this is what I do with my oily prone skin.

I've learned not to put anything on my chin except cleanser. Chin breakouts usually are hormonal. I think for me anyway, any product I put on my chin makes my chin highly reactive. I've always had good skin but would get breakouts on my chin in my early to mid 20s and when I stopped putting any product there except to cleanse, I didn't have breakouts anymore. And don't touch your face during the day!

I bought the salicylic pads this week after reading about them here and have used them once. Oh my god, the acne That cleared up during peri is back with a vengeance. Fuckin bastard chin looks like I've been shot in the face. So cheesed off.

Oil cleansing! It seems mad to put more oil on an already oily skin, but honestly it works. It stops your skin being completely stripped by facial washing which causes more oil to be produced to replenish what you've taken away. It's a vicious cycle that many people fall into. So, oil cleansing and at night use rose hip oil or something similar as your last step, and honestly you will notice a huge difference quite quickly!

Oh god I know all about the forehead bumps- I've conquered my rosacea but now the sun is coming out, my forehead acne is rearing it's ugly head. Salicylic acid 2% is your friend - gentle non foaming cleanser followed by SA 2% then a light serum containing hyaluronic acid to moisturise and stop the tight feeling.'
Good luck!
