Fugly sandals 2017

I need some new sandals for a change from my Birkenstock Arizonas. I'm perfectly happy with a clumpy, faintly orthopaedic aesthetic. Saltwaters looked perfect but they don't come big enough for my size 42 feet.

So - I had a look at Hotter. I know. But am I mad, or are these actually quite nice in a clumpy, jolie-laide sort of a way?

The Tevas are here and they are almost indecently comfortable. No pics right now as I haven't been for that pedicure yet but they are perfectly unhideous in an athleisure sort of way.

I also found these last night on the Clarks outlet. I think they are a style from last year and I love them but they don't have my size. They are £20 and a bargain for anyone of shoe size 4-6 (inc the half sizes in between!).

Right. I have ordered these Tevas which were a bargain at £17. They are strictly speaking a men's style but that's one of the few benefits of massive feet.

I do really like those FitFlops and I've had their flip-flop style before but as TheUpsideDown says they aren't £95 nice!

I'm going into town today so I will see if Clarks has those Dusty Soul sandals in store. I didn't realise yesterday that the website won't have them until June and I need sandals sooner than that.

I'm eyeing up these sandals for my holiday at the moment. Or maybe these. I've had Yokono sandals before, they're really comfortable and good if you have wide feet as I have.
Also Art Compay and El Naturalista have some great ones.

Can I throw moshulu in to the mix?

Incredibly comfy and last and last. Fun colours if that's your thing too. I've got these and they're great with skirts/jeans anything really; but they've loads of other styles too...

I'd probably go for the teva as they look closestunning to zero drop,I'm not content with merely fugly they have to be absolutely flat👟

Thanks. I started a new thread asking for a wide fit version of these LK Bennett ones. Oliver Bonas has the nicest I have seen elsewhere

I'm 28 and like the hotter ones! Followed by Clarks and fitflop.

I have wide feet and really struggle with sandals and they fit me-I reckon they'd also stretch as the leather is so soft. They also have a pair with an adjustable buckle at the toe which is good for making them a bit wider.

How wide are Oliver Bonas?

I really like the first ones! Surely it depends on what you wear them with. Teaming them with a pair of polyester slacks and a per una blouse would give a different feel to rolled up jeans or a maxi skirt.

I'm 34 and wear Teva (previously a Birkenstock person). Had mine since 2013. Still going strong

I like those Oliver Bonas ones!

My feet are so misshapen I can't wear sandals Sad

Teva have been cool for a few years now. I had a pair of Teva flatforms which I loved but my feet didn't get on with them - the steps went in the wrong place and hurt. I've looked at those Hotter ones and think they're fine but not quite geek-chic enough for me.

Currently I'm thinking about these Duckfeet sandals or Birkenstock Milanos.

These are the ones I got but I tried a few and they all felt comfy. Fingers crossed they still feel like that after walking about all day!

Def Moshulu, love my bright pink sandals, might get some more this year. They've weaned me off years of Birks..

I saw those FitFlops a while back OP and thought 'yes!' I've finally found a comfortable yet stylish pair of sandals. Went to order, saw they were 95 flippin' quid and thought 'they're not THAT nice!'

I'm still searching. I'm considering these Blowfish Granola sandals www.shoefish.co.uk/womens-c2/sandals-c8/blowfish-granola-rose-gold-p25928#more_details_tab

Theyre not real leather sadly but I've read lots of good reviews on various different websites about how comfortable they are though. And they do them in lots of different colours, depending on where you buy them from.

Teva are quite cool in a Toast type way now.

Honor, I'm 31 and I quite like those Hotter sandals! Perfectly inoffensive and comfy looking!

A word about FitFlops - if you have slim feet, go to a shop and try them on, don't just order online. I have slim feet (for some reason, they don't really match the rest of me) and I got a pair of their Super Jelly sandals a few years ago. The uppers were huge and my feet rattled around in them. I figured my feet might swell in the heat but no, I came back from Spain covered in Compeed plasters and hobbling. Not a total waste of money as I wear them around the house with v thick socks now (sexy) and the soles are really comfy but I'm never letting them near my bare feet again.

I also love these Tevas but they seem to be from a past season as I can't find them anywhere in a 42.
