Is there actually anything worth buying in the States at the moment?

The rate is 1.1 and I'm In Vegas in two weeks. It's not worth buying anything is it? not even from Target? It's so depressing! I'll just have to drink....

I'm gutted. I'm maceys now. I've never been so dissappointed to see the Uk prices on the tags and they are the same in dollars. Nothing's worth it. I'm going to Sephora for a last minute browse.

Will go shopping tomorrow. Bought two Kate Spade bags but I can't see them in the uk website so don't know if they were a bargain or not

There is Macy's in Las Vegas, it's in the Fashion Show opposite Wynn. There's a bus stop for it right outside for both Deuce and SDX, the latter will take to the outlets as well. Both outlets are comparable, North is outdoor and have Marc Jacobs (that's why I've ended up there..)
Have fun! I've only been there once but would love to come back!

You can buy my house? 6 bedrooms, 4 1/2 bathrooms. 2 acres of land. Tastefully decorated and move in condition. Only problem is it's not in Vegas and you get Trump as your President! 😄

NYDJ are brilliant, they suck your belly in and lift your ass Grin you can technically go down a size so if your a UK 14 get a UK 12 or the US equivalents
sephoras own range make up is great i wish i had bought more when i was in the US

I've just been to the Kate Spade outlet there OP and they had great discounts, 60% off original price and then an extra 20% so definitely worth checking it out! Loads of different styles too - this was at Premium Outlets North.

if you like MAC etc and their holiday collections which aren't here yet may be worth buying those there.

I agree re outlet malls if you visit one fine then if not don't bother.

I tend to go to Philly/Delaware which has 0% sales tax so shop the bargains there but otherwise no. not worth it.

the only stuff I would buy there is stuff you can't get here easily... Old Navy etc.. if you like it.

I go three pairs of nydj in Macy's for $35 a pair. Worth it just for that.

Arrived home yesterday, did pick up some Uniqlo a bit cheaper as they've had offers the past couple of weeks. In the South West so don't have one close by. Perfume at the airport and some girls Levi's for $24 for dd (10).

I do t know if that's in Vegas. I love my spanx tights. I'm guessing Ralph Lauren will still be cheaper

We bought an extra suitcase when we were back in the UK this summer. Let us have it this way just for a bit please!

If you want Spanx, you'll get a good deal at DSW.

Crest whitening strips, if you like that kind of thing. I don't like how all the burger joings, VS and other brands are all now in the UK, takes the excitement out of it somewhat. Oh hum

I think the mascaras value set from Sephora is a good buy. I constantly experiment with mascaras and some turn out to be dire despite rave reviews so it is a cheap way to try a few. Also from Sephora I recommend trying the half size hourglass powder. It's no cheaper than the UK but I had to go to Liberty for it which wasn't exactly convenient. I was totally converted but glad I got to try for £20 first time. DD acquires Anastasia Beverly Hills stuff which is hard to get in UK (small amount on net a porter but she has to wait till I order something else as begrudges delivery charge!) and also some Kylie Jenner range. Had to order online to a US address though. Kat Von D which we bought in past is now in Debenhams for less than Sephora prices!

We went to an outlet mall last week where we got a few extremely cheap bits. From Nike got 4 pairs of adult trainers, 4 adult T shirts and three pairs of ski socks for under $100. Two pairs of Vans and two Vans dresses (again DD) for $70. Levis for $40. J crew gave us scratch cards which gave us $50 off a purchase with no minimum spend. I got a grey cotton sweater and a grey t shirt with stars on and paid about $10 in total. This was in a very random non tourist destination place. Could have bought coach, Kate spade or Michael kors bags for a fraction of UK retail but they just scream outlet to me.

Other than that we got candy - lots of Halloween offers - but quite a lot is vile! EOS lip balms for $3 instead of £7 which DD distributed to all her mates. Availed myself of jo Malone at airport in UK - only place it's ever on offer.

Was coming onto thread to say Old Navy! Pretty much the only place I found for bargainous nice clothes that you can't get here.

DS did very well at the outlet malls, though. Nike, Adidas, Ralph Lauren etc......
