I have based on comments here but after a month have gone back to my loreal day cream as my skin looked worse if anything! I assumed my skin type just wasn't suitable. Like you say, it lost it's glow.

Has anyone had success with these products? Most posts are about purchasing the product but not if it is any good...

I bought the retinoid 2% and the hydra acid and after 2 weeks my skin seems to have lost its glow. It is feels tighter and less hydrated. Am not impressed and so wanted to be. Spotted their advert in Vogue and bought from HoF so assumed they would likely be decent Hmm

Liz earl cleanser causes blackheads (in my opinion)
I'd use a bar soap followed by rose hip or grapeseed oil
The buffet is great for dry bits but not oily bits.
I love the whole range and only need to use a minuscule amount of each product so it lasts ages.
I don't get the vit c product so I use it once per week as a mask.

When people mention sending an email and getting a recommended regime, do they mean sending an email to Victoriahealth customer services? No idea where to start with this.

I'm 29 and get spots frequently at the moment, which I think is caused by my pill. Can't go back onto my old one as I'm breastfeeding now. I have quite a lot of scarring and redness from teenage acne. I get lots of blackheads and have quite open pores on my nose. Combination skin. Starting to notice a few wrinkles appearing around my mouth and across the bridge of my nose is deepening quite a lot right now, not helped by having scarring in these areas so the line and scars join up to look worse. Do they do moisturisers with spf? I'm unsure what to use for sun protection.

I currently use Liz Earle cleanser and toner. Don't like the Liz Earle light moisturiser as it makes my skin feel a bit too dry. Normally use just a standard Nivea one. I occasionally use philosophy micro delivery peel and have also used ALpha hydrox 12% glycolic in the past. Always a bit wary of the peel and glycolic acid because of the sun protection issue. All sun creams I've used on my face make it greasy and itchy. The only other thing I've started doing is using blackhead strips on my nose because it's so bad, but my sister mentioned that she'd read this can somehow make it worse.

Any advice?

Ha ha, if only! I am having issues with my concealer settling under my eyes and going sort of flaky and blotchy but wasn't sure if the primer could go there. Am used to using primer in t-zone only.

Meant to say - The primer won't do anything for dark circles it's just a make up base

I use the caffeine eye stuff but I don't know yet if it's making a difference. The primer I use all over my face and under my eyes as the last step before I apply makeup. I'm not sure if it's the primer or the combo of creams and stuff but my make up is going on lovely.

mary Do you use the primer under your eyes? Like on dark circles?

AFAIK The idea of the HAcid is to use a water based moisturiser after it as it works by trapping the water under your skin which gives it a plump appearance. I'm using;
AM - buffet, HA +b5, Vichy aqualia moisturiser and the spreadable primer. My make up is going on much better and not settling into creases around my eyes. I think it's the primer to be honest. It feels fab and my skin looks much smoother
PM - retinoid 2%, rose hip oil.

Gah. I wrote a big reply and it's gone! I only use buffet once a day now as I found twice daily caused blemishes. I actually use it in the morning under make up instead of moisturiser. I find it plumps up my skin.
I use Habo Lado premium hyaluronic acid serum at night.

Thanks guys. I do use sunscreen already. I feel the vit C serum does go bobbly so I will let it sink in before using moisturiser.
I will have another look at their primer as I was put off by the description saying it was moisturising.
hello is the Buffet good for oily skin? Do you use it at night only?

LittleOyster · 20/01/2017 12:13

I put a facial oil on top of my Vitamin C, then SPF, then BB cream. My skin's not that prone to dryness though.

I've got oily skin too but I use moisturiser or serum when the Vit C suspension has dried in to my skin. I don't think the Vit C is very moisturising so I still like to apply something on top. My usual moisturiser contains niacinamide and I don't think this can be used with Vit C so on the nights I apply vit C I use serum instead. I'm using the ordinary Buffet as a serum at the moment and really like it. I'm also loving this primer

It's like no primer I've ever used before -it's a clear liquid. Keeps make looking perfect all day!

I was going to give their natural moisturising factors a go when I next place an order.

I've got oily skin too.

Don't forget to use spf.

Sorry about restarting an old thread but I have just started using the Vit C suspension. It is too soon to see any effects but I wondered about using a moisturiser on top. I have really oily skin so I'm not sure if I need one or which one to use. I had been using Effaclar Duo on its own but have stopped that for now.
Any ideas? Is there anything else from the range you would recommend for me? I am 37 with oily, oily skin (no spots), melasma from prev pregnancies, crows feet and one lovely big wrinkle across my forehead.

I've emailed and got a regimen from them - I'll probably order it this week:
AM: Buffet. Hyalronic Acid + B5,
PM: Advanced Retinoid, Hyaluronic Acid and Azelaic Acid
Not sure what moisturiser to use with ths - any suggestions? I was using all dermalogica products but it's brought me out in a nasty rash, so switched back to an old toleriane I found in the cupboard which isn't doing much for me (although I'm using it on its own with no serum etc).
Any thoughts?

My order arrived today:

  • Buffet
  • Retinoid 2%
  • Vitamin C suspension 23%
  • Matryxil 10%

have emailed them for advice but was planning on doing following regime:

AM - Buffet and Matryxil plus day cream
PM - Retinoid and Vitamin C on alternate nights (alone) - unsure where to use night cream on top as previously used alpha H and thought it worked better without cream?

Am also planning on applying all products round eye area too

My goodies arrived today.

I am trying to restrain myself from opening it and smearing it ALL on mah face. Not that it'd be wise with 2 types of lactic, Niacinamide & vit C, mind.

Must. Be. Restrained.

I am interested to see what the textures are like though. My expectations aren't high in that area but I'm hopeful for efficacy.

It is a BHA. And I use LFP Toleriane. No flushing here.

I have just put my Neostrata SPF50 on. About an hour after my moisturiser, which I applied about 20 minutes after the Vit C. Hmmm. Strong tingling. No tingling before the SPF50. Not taken it off. Seeing if it settles. Odd reaction though? Not done that before with the SPF on over the top.
