Best place to buy white cropped leggings in size 20?

Need some white leggings that are comfy, cropped and really good quality. Obviously don't want them to be see through.
Any suggestions please?

This says enough about what she looks like

No it doesn't, and why do you care what she looks like? Your comments are giving the impression you don't like the way you look, so you put others down.

Hope you find some good ones OP. Just FYI for some people on here, I have some white trousers that make me look the size of a house.
I'm fully aware that they make me look the size of a house.
However they are extremely comfortable, and they have lovely big pockets, and I'm finally at a place where I don't give a fuck what other people think about what I'm wearing. Smug and bitchy comments masquerading as helpful and honest aren't fooling anyone.

Fuck me you are unbelievably rude colditz

Your opinion is worth jack shit on this thread. You said you prefer honesty and to be told if you look like a prick.....well now is one of those times.

OP I think leggings and tunic tops are one of my favourite looks at the moment and a style that looks good on all body types. Please ignore the ignoramus on this thread.

The only thing I know about the OP is that she is looking for size 20 white leggings. This says enough about what she looks like

What exactly does it say? You're just digging yourself deeper here. You don't seem to grasp the fact that nowhere in the OP did it ask whether she would look good in white leggings. Not even a hint of it. So why did you think she would appreciate your unwanted answer to an unasked question?

Colditz even if you believe you're doing someone a favour by giving them your opinion, or being 'brave enough to tell them the truth' (I'm paraphrasing) once someone says "thanks but I don't really want/need your input on this" then surely that should be end of conversation. Otherwise it just sounds like you believe in the supremity of your own opinion or taste.

TheOnlyColditz

I have never made a clothing error I only wear certain type of clothes being a size 6.

Yes I can say that I've seen people out wearing clothes that they haven't got the "shape" for, and I have thought to myself "before they left the house, didn't anyone tell them the outfit they are wearing is inappropriate for their shape"

Back when I was younger I had a few friends that would wear things that looked hideous on and I would tell them in the nicest way possible that what they were wearing didn't look nice.

Wow. I love how purely knowing the size of leggings the OP is looking for means some people know exactly what she looks like and what will look good or bad on her. I've seen tiny women wearing clothes that make them look awful and bigger women looking amazing.

Trying to act like you've got the op's best interests at heart doesn't fool anyone. Unless you know her personally then you have no idea at all what she will look like in a tunic and white leggings.

Op, you wear whatever the hell you like and I bet with your attitude and confidence you'll look ten times better than the women walking around with their judgey pants hoiked all the way up.

Maybe so but her "hissy fit" as you call it was because of your unwanted advice. Advice is fine but only when asked for surely

Report
TheOnlyColditz · 04/07/2016 18:15

I carried on explaining why I gave the advice in the first place, but the advice I gave was well before the OP had a hissy fit.

There are some bigger mums on the school run who wear white cropped leggings with colourful tunics and look really good. The size 8 mum who power-walked past me this morning without pants under her leggings probably didn't realise quite how anatomically upfront she was being.
I think the OP is right - it is all in the quality of the fabric.

Fuzzypeggy · 04/07/2016 18:11

But she didn't ask for fashion advice colditZ, she asked where to buy them!!! Advice was not wanted and she said that!!!

It's not the same at all. This is the anonymous opinion of an internet stranger. We don't walk up to strange people in the supermarket and offer budgeting advice, but we do it all the time on Mumsnet, and to draw an analogy between Mumsnet and real life isn't entirely accurate.

Maybe the OP doesn't have anyone in Real Life who will say "That's not a good idea"? Maybe she has an extremely unique figure and looks fabulous in tight white cropped legwear at a size 20? Or, maybe, she doesn't really care what she looks like? Either or, she should be as aware as she can be before she makes that purchase decision, not after, especially if she is buying something from an expensive shop!

I saw some jegging type ones in Bon Marche.
Also if you're ever looking for navy, grey or black leggings, Boden do fantastic ones that wash and wash and don't go see through. I'm size 18-20 and their 18 or 20 look fine on me, I think!

Fuzzypeggy · 04/07/2016 18:09

Maybe you do colditZ but the op said early doors that she didn't appreciate it but you still carried on

Report
MumOnACornishFarm · 04/07/2016 18:08

And surely OP already knows better than you do what is aesthetically pleasing to herself.

Report
TheOnlyColditz · 04/07/2016 18:06

Of course not, but she probably wants them to be aesthetically appealing to herself.

Has NOBODY on this thread ever made a clothing purchase they later regret, all because nobody had the balls to advise them otherwise? Personally I appreciate my honest friends. I don't like to be lied to, I like to know the truth before I purchase. If something is going to make me look like I have an even fatter arse than normal, I want to know before I lay the money down, not after.

Report
Fuzzypeggy · 04/07/2016 18:04

Colditz, the thing is that looking like a prick is very subjective and all down to taste. The op likes white leggings and wants them so the decision is already made by her. It's her choice. She wants to wear them. She has her own taste which I'm sure you do too. So effectively what you are saying, is like going up to someone already wearing white leggings and telling them they look like a prick. Rude is the only word for it. If someone did that to you I bet you wouldn't take it on the chin as helpful fashion advice.

Report
DraenorQueen · 04/07/2016 18:03

Colditz has it occurred to you that the OP most likely doesn't buy clothes with the sole aim of being aesthetically pleasing to you or any other judgmental arsehole out there?
OP, I am the same size as you and have a M and S pair of white crops which I wear with bright tunic tops. I think it's a nice casual look for Summer and is flattering with a nice pair of wedges.

No I don't have any authority over you. I wouldn't tell somebody what to do, I asked you nicely, and I wouldn't bother reporting your posts. You have the absolute right to voice your opinion, and to offend. Lots of people have said here that they think your posts are rude. I would hope that would mean something to you.
