I'm currently a natural but very 'yellow' blonde, and would Love it to look a much cooler, pale tone. Ive tried a couple of purple shampoos which sends me a kind of Pixie-Lott-pink.!

Even though you are a natural blonde, you will need to bleach to get your hair light enough to add the grey tone.

No, and I'm still none the wiser. I have very yellow hair, natural, but definitely yellow. I'd love to go ashy, pale, cool, and not pink which is what happens with the purple shampoos I've tried.

Sorry, from your title I assumed you were wanting to dye your hair grey, but if you are after the ash/grey tones then those two products that I've said should give you that effect on your hair. With regards to bleaching, again sorry that what I have yo do to get my hair blonde in the first place Wink

Have you tried the fudge purple shampoo? It does make my blonde bits nearly grey if I leave it on for 3-5 mns. Very effective

coffee and choc, what do you mean re grey dye too? Your suggestion sounds great. Im a novice at all this, and my hair is naturally yellowy blonde not highlighted. You mention this was after bleaching, which I'm not doing? Think I'll give the henna a miss, I'm looking for a pale/cool/blonde. Thnx

You need l'oreal 20 volume creme developer and wella colour charm t14 (or t18). You can get them on eBay & Amazon. After bleaching my hair I used 1 part t14 with 2 parts creme developer and it really neutralises the golden/yellow tones. So much better than purple shampoo's. Not sure if you would need to do this before or after the grey dye though

Try indigo (natural dye similar to henna) which gives a blue-black. Scroll down this page & you'll see a photo of blonde hair after indigo www.renaissancehenna.com/blonde-hair-gallery.aspx
