Nursing Bra Intervention please

I am 36 weeks and about to buy some more maternity/nursing bra's.

I measured myself this morning as 33 across the rib cage and 36 across the nipple. So that would be a 34B? Seems small as I think I'm currently in a 34D maternity bra.

The tightness around the ribcage just now could be due to a lack of cup space as if the cups are too small they steal space from the band.

In terms of sizes to buy - over the next few weeks you'll probably find your band size increases a bit more thanks to the small person in your ribcage, but once they remove themselves from there your band will most likely go back down again, but your cup will probably increase. I'd probably look at quite a soft flexible nursing bra to tide you over until your size settles down and then reappraise at that stage. Something like the ROyce blossom (I think that's the name) covers multiple cup sizes.

I just remeasured and I'm 34 ribcage, 37 around nappies, 38 if I lean forward...

So is that a 34 D? Current bra is 34c and feeling tight around my ribcage by the end if each day.

That will normally result in a significantly smaller overbust. Try bending so your boobs are dangling down - ie so your back is parallel to the floor and measuring around.

Did you measure the overbust loosely whilst bent at 90 degrees?
