I've posted here before, a while ago, asking for advice. Loads of people posted and tried to help. But I guess I was being too fussy at the time, and now I can't find the thread.

I am a guest at a wedding being held in Italy in august. It's an evening ceremony but I think it'll still be hot.

I am 5.2 and an hourglass size 14. I have brown hair and brown eyes. I have olive skin (which has tanned so I guess I might be a deeper shade now).

I hate my legs so would need either midi or maxi. I don't want skirt and top, only a dress.

I love large floral print but it's what I always wear and am thinking a plain dress might be better.

I have scoured the shops and online. Have tried on loads and loads of dresses and I just can't find the right one.

Please please help me. I'll try not to be so fussy this time. Blush

I've ordered the Monsoon dress at Next :)

Will collect in store on saturday - if it fits I'll keep it, if not I will return it there and then.

If anyone has any other ideas, keep them coming!

Thanks for all the posts by the way xx

Oh no GotNo! Good luck with finding something amazing - it took me long enough and I remember the pain!

Nyancat beautiful dress but I think the colour is just too near white / too bridal for me.

BabyGanoush I think I'd be too hot in that, though it's lovely

hannah8815 I bought that dress! In royal blue! I love it, it feels amazing doesn't it? But it just doesn't fit right on the bust, the neck feels uncomfortable. The skirt part is so beautiful, but the top just doesn't suit my shape. I am going to return it.

or this, silk with elasthane (so it stretches and is cool, breathable fabric)

I'm in love with this one and am about the same size. it's sold out at the min but is only new in so they seem to get new stock fairly quickly if you were interested enough to keep an eye on it

I've just bought this dress for a wedding in the royal blue colour which is out of stock in 14 but they still have the turquoise in 14 which I think would look great with a tan.

Pics don't do it justice tbh - v high quality fabric and nice floaty skirt. It's very true to size and even generous on the bust I would say.

The only problem for me is that's it's sleeveless and have just started a thread for help finding a jacket!!!

Bombshell by katya wildman, sorry can't link but type that into google. Lots of styles similar to the Nigella dress, and a few in the sale on budget.

Love anthropologie and actually tried that dress on. It's gorgeous. But it was way too heavy, I'd be a bag of sweat!

I'll call next tomorrow, about the monsoon dress. It doesn't say which stores stock them, to be honest I'd rather just go in store and try on before I buy anyway.

Little wings factory have some adorable dresses but nothing is jumping out at me for the wedding outfit...

Oh my. Not the op, that is beautiful. But would have to be brought over from the US? I'm not sure but I think they are saying 9 days for tailoring and another week for delivery? That's cutting it very fine!!

Have you tried vintage styles? I bet some of the ones on here would look gorgeous on you, the wide-skirted ones are great for curves, and they all have straps or little sleeves and a massive choice of prints and plains (I already have a few in my wardrobe): www.littlewingsfactory.com/vintage-dresses/?sort=featured&page=1

If the idea of vintage puts you off, they may still be worth a look as some are not as "obviously" vintage as others.

Oh for crying out loud. Something or someone is working against me. I'm trying to buy that monsoon next dress I posted up thread, but it's not accepting my postcode. It's saying it's invalid. It's my postcode for god sake! Wanted to buy it to try on for size, and return if necessary. Seems I can't even do that

I think that is appropriate but don't wear anything you feel self conscious in

Although, that blue flower one is blue on white. Is that okay for a wedding? I thought you shouldn't wear any white at a wedding?

Not the op - really like that first one in blue, I'll go try it on this weekend.

Changing, I think I'd be too hot it that, although can see how it'd be gorgeous for an hourglass.

This is gorgeous in real life for an hourglass, it does up around waist at front or back. £129
