Split nail - any chance of repair?

I am going out with DH on our own a few times in the next week and as I want to make a bit of an effort I was going to gel polish my nails this weekend. Now my buggering nail had broken halfway down the nail and it hurts.

Is there any way of repairing before polishing? I'm sure I read a tip on here recently but I can't find it now.

Tia

Go to Q&R Glamour Boutique, 1 Gladstone Road Wimbledon. The girls there are angels... They will sort out anything to do with nails. Telephone no. 07725992952.

You don't need nail glue for the teabagging, apply a bit bag over the wet uncured base cote then continue as normal. Single ply loo roll also works

Yep, that works. I've also used a combo of tissue (a single ply) and clear polish when desperate!
