I'm off to town to buy a wee skirt and guess I best buy a fake tan too!

I am so crap I can streak the dive stuff so in looking for recommendations for fake tan that's easy for a total novice such
As meself.

Thanks in advance. X

I use the superdrug mousse. It gives me a subtle tan and the mousse is dark so it is easy peasy to put on. Although when I wash it off, I'm not much more tanned than before. Still I'm happy with the price, it does the job well for a day at least and it doesn't smell. So I'm happy and haven't been bothered to search for anything new.

I like the St Moriz one (although you do look like you've been mud-wrestling before you wash it off...), although I use it to go very dark for dance competitions so always use the darkest shade. I've never had problems with streaks, but I am quite liberal. I find it doesn't look that bad afterwards either, definitely not orange, but very dark if it's January!

You should exfoliate and moisturise, and always use a mitt to apply.

Spray tan wise, I really liked Sienna X although it went very patchy as it wore off. The one somebody from TOWIE has as a brand is actually very good and not orange on me, I was pleasantly surprised!

It always takes sooo long to do properly; agree about the exfoliating and good moisturising and use a gradual one. IIWM OP I'd buy a pretty full length skirt or linen trousers!

The San moritz ones are good and only £4.00 .

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 08/06/2014 19:02

Can I second the question about a recommendation of a decent mitt?

ppeatfruit · 09/06/2014 08:47

Somewhere like John Lewis has a good selection of beauty accessories.

MorrisZapp · 09/06/2014 14:49

Tanning mitt info:

Poundshop have them, ok but not great.

John Lewis have them, they aren't in the accessories bit, they're beside the actual fake tan products.

There were three brands in my local JL:

James Reade, cost six quid, didn't like it, looked shit

Fake Bake, cost four quid, looked ok

St Tropez, cost two pound something, was my fave, I bought it.

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 09/06/2014 17:29

Thanks Morris
Worth trying at that price

I'm going to give it a go on my legs as I have a good selection of maxi skirts for when I fuck it up again Grin

Wah
So many options

Which ones am I looking at? I'm pale but yellowy not blue. I only want a little colour to take off the edge. Didn't realise there were so many options

I don't live near a JL so thought I could get the mitt at the same time.
