I'm hoping you lovely ladies can help

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/231099661890?hlpht=true&ops=true&viphx=1&lpid=95&device=t&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=95

This is a link to the dress I've bought
It says that it needs a 20'' petticoat, but that seems short to me

What do you think?
Can you recommend the best place to buy a petticoat?

Nyla Rose have loads of lovely petticoats in lots of colours, I have bought from them loads of times and they are a really nice company too.

www.nyla-rose.com/product-category/vintage-skirts-petticoats/vintage-petticoats/

I think their petticoats are about 25 inches buy they aren't itchy at all like the other cheaper ones can be (NR are under £25)

They sit just above knee length on me and i am 5'4'' x hope that helps xx

I chose the purple petticoat and it is perfect. It looks super with the dress. I've got another wedding later on in the year and plan on ordering the dress in a different colour and the pink petticoat.

Thank you again so much Smile

I think the petticoat is worth a shot. It says it's lined to avoid scratching and pulled tights so it seems to be reasonably well made and thought out. I like the purple one thinking about getting it and trying it. Love the colour.

Youmakemydreams, do you think those petticoats I linked to look good quality. Or do you suggest buying from somewhere else?

What about looking here
viva-la-rosa
They sell on ebay and Amazon.

I think the pink would look fab with that but I do like bright colours.
I absolutely love the orchid. I think I will be buying that one as well.
I've been caught up searching for the perfect dress in navy all the lovely colours were passing me by.

Is orchid like a pink/purple colour? I think pink would be lovely or a bright purple depending on the shade of the dress.

I've found the dress in an orchid colour. Do you think a pink petticoat, maybe like this! would go?

Ooh I'm probably the last person to ask to colour co-ordinate.
I've actually been pondering and looking at petticoats and for me they are an accessory so would pick something a bit clashing usually.

I would possibly put it with a lighter but not baby pink, purple or navy if I wanted a bit less clash but I would equally choose a bright or lime green under it too. Especially with cream shoes you can have anything then.

Thank you youmakemydreams, love the colour of that dress you linked to. Didn't think of a raspberry colour, but that's lovely.

What colour petticoat would you choose?

different colours are different prices

There are more at the £22.99 sort of price I'll have a better rake around.

I love different coloured petticoats underneath. I'm getting married next year and am undecided between red or pink. Bm's are wearing navy dresses with the colour of their choice petticoats underneath.

Haha no expert really. My first petticoat was an original from my mum. I have bought from ebay, etsy and amazon. My friend just found a pin on pinterest to make my own but not sure if I'm brave enough yet.

I have this dress and it's lovely. I think my petticoat is 23". I always get compliments from people when I wear it. I'm 5ft 10 and it sits on my knee.

Also, could you link to the one on Amazon. I've had a look but can't find one that is cheaper.

Also, whilst here, where do you get your petticoats from. Sounds like you're an expert Smile

Youmakemydreams, I'm struggling with which colour to get the dress in. Am thinking the dark purple one. Would you go for a totally different colour petticoat?

My shoes are a cream colour, by the way.

I would think 26" would be a better length roo short and as dita said better poking out a bit than the lampshade look.
I love that dress too by the way. Am wearing one to a wedding in July with a bright contrasting petticoat underneath.

I got mine from soho clothing online. It is wonderful as its soft so doesn't scratch bare legs and snag tights . It is really full as well .

I thought it seemed really short too youmakemydreams

Thank you for the Amazon suggestion, I'll take a look there now.

So would you suggest Mae a longer 26"?
