...and help you feel a little better about yourself tomorrow?

Following on from the threads recently about people feeling frumpy/out-of-sorts/old/not as good as they could be, let's do something active and do one small thing tomorrow that could help us feel better and brighter!

I'm going to paint my toenails tomorrow, they look hideous over winter!

Over to you :)

Paula, I've got a l'Anza moisture therapy moi moi one just now, it's pretty expensive but has lasted ages. I alternate between that, almond oil and a horse conditioner.

I keep a large tub of thick Nivea cream on the armchair of the sofa (along with a nail file and lip balm). I often sit there while watching TV moisturising hands and feet, sometimes my face of I'm feeling dry, pushing back my cuticles. I would like to do my nails, including toenails, more. Doors anyone else keep staples by the TV?

The Argan oil from aldi for your hair is fantastic. I've had it for a few weeks now and my hair is shiny enough that I've had people ask what I've changed Smile and at £3.49 its worth a try

foolssilver which hair mask do you use?

I have not drunk any wine tonight, had an alcohol free day and am getting an early night. I will look better tomorrow!

I will say no to chocolate tonight. And apply some exfoliating night stuff. Always works a treat.

Even fairly small Asian supermarkets should have almond oil.

Oh good thread Smile

For me it's probably doing a hair mask or oil, sometimes I sleep in it and hair looks much better in the morning.

Holland & Barrett for sweet almond oil

Jackadaal, where do you buy your almond oil?
I've also heard that walnut oil is really good, but can't seem to find it locally.

A bottle of plain almond oil is great for hands and feet - massage a little in every night and sorts hands and and my usual winter hoof syndrome out. Costs about £3 and lasts for ages.

A new lipstick every couple of months is my main brighten up guarantee

Treat your feet by slathering on that cheap body lotion you've never used in the back of the drawer, put your sloppy feet in sandwich bags and relax! They feel warm and feel so soft after!

Cuticle care - soak to soften then push back with a fingernail or wooden hoof stick. (I use a metal hoof stick but that's because I'm comfortable with it) Oil regularly and they shouldn't need trimming - mainly because they grow back thicker if you do.

A dab of Vaseline around wrinkly part of eyes before bed. Does wonders to smooth them out.

Hand cream just before you turn off your bedside light.

I don't have a lot of time and sometimes my hair is a bit shocking - but just putting it up at the back in a twisty sort of bun, with a clip, makes me feel like I am almost respectable.

And no one notices quite how much it needs a wash.

I agree with blusher too - just a powder so you don't have to spend hours removing it at night, because it's fallen off - but it makes a hell of a difference when you are very tired and pale.

I don't 'do' makeup but that's my one concession.

mrswellyboot can I ask which tanning wipes you use? Never been any good with tanning products but I look alive a million times better with a subtle glow.

Please can you tell me how to look after cuticles ? Is it just oil or do they need actually cutting to trim and keep neat? Have always wanted to ask but never got round to it!

OK, I will iron my clothes for tomorrow.

(I've not done this for years but the other threads have convinced me.)
