Style and beauty

I asked before but I'm asking again, what shoes shall I wear with this dress for a wedding?

It's for an all day wedding so I need to be comfy so not spiked heels.

I saw some lovely peep toe wedge sling backs in black suede but they've sold out?

Any ideas please. I'm going to wear black tights possibly seamed.

Help.

I think they are a smiliar height to the opera ticket one's princess? I have those and they are very comfortable-can wear them all day with no problems. Can't afford £50 though so will have to wait for a code or sale!

Shatzepage The Chorus Thrill are actually higher than they look. The front is on a little bit of a platform.

Yet they are incredibly comfortable.

I am a casual dresser - comfy shoes rule. So if I buy dressy shoes they have to not pinch/rub/blister.

Thanks everyone. Those Geiger ones are lush I also love the red ones but its hard to tell if they will match.
Are we still thinking nude tights?

I like these red ones as well.

What about these? I think peeptoes suit the style of the dress well.

What about a black lace high heel
M&S shoes are usually comfortable

I recommended the Chorus thrill too-I really want them! Agnes and Norman so gorgeous retro style shoes-not cheap but they have some in the sale.

These would up the kinky but in a good way, I think.
M&S so could well be nice IRL or a fail, worth a look though

Those are lovely capsium.

Am still looking for higher ones.

I bought these shoes for a couple of recent parties.

They are soooo comfortable. Not a blister in sight.

I usually go for black tights (am also chunky of calf!) but as my dress was sleeveless- ii thought the bottom part (legs) should match the top part (arms). Hence nude tights. They seem to be quite popular nowadays. I noticed quite a few women wearing nude tights- even with black dress and shoes.

Agree with mrslettuce about nude fishnets though. Black legs will make it all too heavy looking on bottom, unbalanced.

Ooh I think peep toe black sling backs would be perfect! They had some in primarni last week that were actually really nice.

V. Pretty dress you will look gorge.

Slingbacks might work, as long as they're a bit unconventional - I fear 'straight' shoes could send the look a bit, erm, awry.

I love the 50's shape in a dress, it really does work wonders and comfy too. I think it's the combo of black and red and lace and tulle that makes it a difficult one.

Sling backs would be good..dress has a 50s vibe so they would go well

Thanks. It's gorgeous on too and so flattering.

It is indeed tricky tho.
It's my sils wedding in a hotel and fairly small with an evening do. My girls are bridesmaids Smile so ill be on my feet all day.
My pils are fairly used to me being slightly unconventional.
I have seen some nice sling backs which I thought might be cool.

Wow that's a fab dress!! I think you do need a heel with it though .May blavk suede courts if you need tights or a black strap sandal or mule if you dare go bare legged.i think black is the only colour..but once again fab dress!!

I'm struggling a bit TBH, it's a tricky dress. What sort of wedding is it (IYSWIM)? What sort of people?

Ledkr · 17/02/2014 21:17

I think I have some of those.
Yes I've got annoyingly chunky calves so do need some height.
Thanks.
