I have tried it on and as I am fairly short, it is longer on me than in the picture, the colour is also a but darker irl.

I've been searching for a quilted but lightweight coat, not too puffy. What do you think?

I am actually a serial coat researcher/searcher - I posted about this the other day but then saw in Zara and didn't like it as much as online

Will wear with everything I guess - skinnies, tunic/leggings.........I also have biker style boots in tan, aubergine knee boots, 'red' Bern boots from Duo, a mid-blue patent leather bag - a whole mish mash of things really

Perhaps I don't have much style looking at that list Grin

well in that case, wear them!
They're not really my style but i don't understand why everyone is so anti.
I bet you would look great in them OP.
what will you wear them with?

it all depends what you wear it with.
and whether you have innate style and confidence! OP you could possibly make anything look uber-stylish! but I don't know you so I couldn't say

Whatageatname, I have the uniqlo A line down coat and I love it! Looked around for a down coat fir ages but most looked too mumsy, hate ones that are 'fitted'. It's not too puffy and is a fab length, not too long. Def stands out from the sea of down coats on the school run. Looks better without the hood on. Mine is in black. I ordered a medium and I'm a size 10-12. I think the Small would br too small across the shoulders for me. It is toasty warm!

I feel I have to defend the coat a bit Grin

The colour irl is lovely
Its really lightweight but feels warm

However, it is very shiny but doesn't look cheap (imo)

Sorry not a fan - too shiney, odd colour, bit too 'bianca' for me too!

Oh dear. No - it's hideous: really, really horrible.

Sorry but it is one of the nastiest looking things I have ever seen on the M&S site - and that is saying something.

Sizing for coats is fairly true to size.

Kinora · 09/11/2012 21:42

Too shiny - looks cheap.

I like the fitted style though.

I had a dark green Uniqlo coat like that.

DH told me I looked like a walking sleeping bag.

I lost the coat. So, if any of you have one hanging in your hall from when I came round 3 years ago.....

Dexter73 I like the Uniqlo A-line down coat but it looks a bit too 'puffy' - what is their sizing generally like?

Thanks for the other comments and suggestions
