Are you a winter or summer dresser?

I am most defintely winter, yes sireee. I cannot stand all the flimsey material and flesh showing. I struggle. It takes me such a long time every morning, and sometimes I end up looking a right royal yummy mummy mess and a half. I long for Sept.

I am far far far far happier in jeans/long boots/jacket combo.

Am I alone?

Winter! I love thick tights and leather boots, scarves, a nice winter coat, thick knits, and jersey dresses. I also love winter fabrics - velvet and tweed, and the colours - gray, plum, etc. I love being able to have bare legs in summer, however that doesn't make up for the sheer stress that I connect with summer dressing!

I used to prefer summer colours, and lighter dressing but age has mellowed me. Now I love winter dressing - I need the coverage and have come to love subtle colours.

Winter, definitely. Dresses and biker boots. And scarves. And jackets. Oh yes, definitely winter.

Winter, winter, winter!

Love the season, hate the heat of summer and the cheap, skimpy clothes.

Even when I was size 8 I preferred winter clothes.

Favourite weather for the best outfit is sunny and crisp, so I can where a big, plush, thick scarf up to my chin but not a coat.

I too am crap at summer.
Just come back from a week on the Algarve having agonised for days about what to take.
I braved my body in a bikini for the first time at 51.....nobody screamed or ran away.
I love my boots, thick tights, layers, scarves......I feel very exposed in summer.
And as usual I have come back paler than I went due to the ST Tropez I had last Friday. Smile

I love summer when it is proper sunny, a nice dress and a tan is lovely. but wardrobe wise I'm more of a winter dresser. I have so many coats and pairs of boots. I buy coats each year but usually every 2 or 3 years I will spend more on a really good one, I always get the wear out of them for a good few years. also I love hats

Winter.
Give me corduroy, chunky knits and boots anytime.

Give me dark red, purple and green. Long sleeves, tights and a wooly hat.

I would love to dress for the summer if the summer weather could be consistent.

I'm an Autumn dresser, I love Autumn clothes.
When it gets properly cold in winter, I just pile on layers of knits so it's not that stylish.
My spring clothes would be similar to my Autumn clothes but with less emphasis on leafy colours.
I don't put much effort into summer dressing. I have a few nice sundresses but the weather is only warm enough for them a few days a year here in Ireland.

Gosh, I must be alone. I hate winter dressing, particularly wool and long sleeves.

I tend to buy lots of cardigans with 3/4 sleeves, wear opaque tights and carry on as I was in summer.

Not that I can really get away with short sleeves (bingo wings) but I just can't abide being having thick fabric on my arms.

Winter, but I suspect most brits are. Easier to dress for a season that lasts about 7 months than for a season that lasts for a few scattered weeks.

You're not alone. I love thick opaque black tights with dresses and I even wear them in the summer with cardi's. I love flat boots, berets and pretty scarves, nice coats and thicker dresses.

I can't wait for autumn. I don't mind the cold but I hate rain, ice and snow. I can't dress for those.
