Exercise when baby naps

Hi there

I want to start doing a bit of exercise when my DD naps. I could probably manage about 30 mins on a daily basis. Can anyone recommend any schedules or DVDs? I cannot do any leaping about/aerobics as I am in a first floor flat!

thanks

I started off n exercise bike and my own exercises, and 9 months on am doing the 30 day shred DVD. It's only 20 mins so you also have time for a shower and a bit of housework!

I bought the Zumba fitness for the wii today, I'm going to need to dust down the wii fit board too - we were currently using it for my DS whose legs weren't long enough to reach the floor when he was in his jumparoo! What is the 30 day shred?

Impressed. Always thought the golden rule was sleep when the baby naps Grin

I did Wii Fit while DD1 napped... Have yet to get it out again with DD2!

If you can stand it, Mel B. It's no leaping, you stand there exercising your arms/then your legs/then tum etc

Tracy Anderson. Much less annoying than Davina surely?

Another Davina recommendation here.

It's gentle but really does work, plus I love the fact that she's post partum and a bit wobbly still.

30 day shred is hardcore, and although I toned up, I actually put on weight.

I can personally recommend the Davina McCall pre and post natal workout DVD.

You can do the post natal workout from 6 weeks post partum (but if you've had complications or a cs, then obviously, you need to wait a wee while longer).

But It's an excellent routine, which includes a low impact aerobics session, a toning session and a pelvic floor section...so it should tick all your boxes.

Could you get an exercise bike/cross trainer/rower etc? I know the gym-standard ones can be expensive but you could try ebay?

Well, there's the famous 30-day shred, which takes about half an hour, but does involve a certain amount of leaping about. You could adapt it, though, so you don't do too much damage...
