Long dress for party

I am going to a party in a few weeks where everyone is supposed to wear long dresses. I have been shopping today and failed to find anything that looked any good so I think I need some help please.

I am 5'3'' and a size 10, what I learned from today is that I need a dress that goes in under the boobs or I look pregnant and flowery type patterns are not good. Not much money at the moment so max £40.

Am thinking about this unfortunatly there were not any in store to try on.
