Whether it’s super healing, super strength, super speed or even the ability to manipulate the forces of the universe, there are certain moments in life when having superpowers would come in handy! With that being said Sky Cinema knows that the summer holidays is often a time when parents unleash their own superpowers and they want to hear all about the lengths you’ve gone to to keep your kids entertained so far this summer!

Here’s what Sky Cinema has to say: “This summer, we have a new premiere every day, so you don’t need superpowers to find something great to watch. Premieres this August include Storks, Keeping up with The Joneses, Allied and the brilliant animation Kubo and the Two Strings. We've also got some great superhero movies, such as Marvel's Doctor Strange, Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, and Deadpool."

Have you put your multi-tasking skills into full force and been cooking or baking with the kids? Maybe you organised a family sports day in the park, and prepared everyone’s favourite snacks without needing a reminder of what their favourites were? Perhaps you’re able to turn a day out around when you’re unexpectedly graced with some rainy British weather? Or maybe you’ve found a way to magically entertain your children without putting in any effort!

So, inspired by Sky Cinema’s range of superhero movies, comment with the superpowers you have exhibited this summer and you’ll be entered into a prize draw with a chance of winning a £300 John Lewis voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

My super boobie milk healed a gunky eye!
My other super power of the summer was being super strong mummy who carried lb in a baby carrier pretty much everywhere (food shopping, coffee, walking the dogs, family BBQ).

Managed to get the kids to do a bit of planting and tidying up the garden kept them busy for a good few hours

I managed to get my son to eat something other than pancakes, honed my conflict resolution skills, and so far I have refrained from looking up cottages sleeping one on Lundy.

My superpower has been changing into cool mum for the summer.
After a stressful year where it felt like I always was too tired to try new things or I always said no to my son I made a conscious effort to relax all summer and try new things I thought I couldn't do

My super power has been (as an older mum) keeping up with my three super energetic kids (7,10,13) while cycling, swimming, running, tennis and badminton over the hols. Also taking the older ones on some very scary water slides as they couldn't go on without an adult and not showing my fear of heights to make sure they had a good time

That would be craft supplies, not spuds 😁

I have superpowers of in-car entertainment... Thanks to some good long audio books and a mega order of craft spuds from baker ross 😊 It's a 500 mile car journey to our annual Holiday which we do in one day.

I've had super hero skills in patience! My son is lovely but loves to spend every second with you asking questions!

Planned well ahead for the bad weather and the good weather takes care of itself.

I've survived the summer - I think that's a superpower in itself!

I have recently discovered that my kids love being let loose on the recycling. A few markers and some tape can entertain for at least an hour or two, they think it's brilliant!

my super power has to be not just going into a meltdown and locking myself away after having to seperate my two from fighting, constant whining and general moans of how bored they are - we've had sickness, chicken pox and general illness all summer meaning we've not really been able to do much.

we are alternating play days with a few of their friends parents so on days we have a rabble of children to deal with which definitely needs superpowers. Great activities make it a breeze though from sports type games to challenges.

Super patience - with screaming temper tantrums, demands for outings, icecream, etc - things being dumped out and about, messy living room when its raining and fighting!

I think my super power has been multi-tasking. Looking after 9 kiddies from 17 down to 3...and managing to keep them all well fed, amused and mostly happy while trying to keep the house tidy, organized and doing all the uniform shopping from 3 different supermarkets and 2 different specialist uniform shops! We've almost made it to the end and we survived and I think I'm still sane!

My super power was getting up on Christmas day heavily pregnant, loaded with the worst cold and prepare Christmas dinner for my whole family (15 in total)

I have managed to pack the house to move by making it into a game. For example who can pack this box the fastest, who can donate and throw away the most old things. Multi tasking at it's best! Xx
