Hello

As you may know we are working with George Foreman Grills to promote their range of grills.

George Foreman say "We've been wowed by the response we've had from Mumsnetters to our George Foreman testing! The feedback has been great and it's fab to see all the new meal ideas which can be made on our grills"

They are now after your best grill based family recipes to feature on some new GF recipe cards. Recipes can include savoury and sweet dishes that could cooked already on a GF grill, or indeed ones which are cooked by you on a regular grill or BBQ but that you think could be adapted for a GF grill.

Add your recipe below and the MNers submitting the 10 best recipes chosen by the George Foreman team will each win a Russell Hobbs Creations Food processor worth £44.99 and available exclusively to Argos. Key key criteria to win would be that your submission is creative, versatile and family friendly.

The top 10 recipes chosen will then be "professionalised" by the team at George Foreman into recipe cards with photography and put on the GF pages on Mumsnet and on the main GF website for people to download. If your recipe/ fav grill prep is picked you will also receive a hard copy set of the winning recipes.

Add your recipe to this thread - this will need to be your own recipe - or your own adaptation of one. You're also welcome to email in any photos of your creations to [email protected] (subject line: George Foreman recipe)

For ideas see Mumsnet BBQ recipes here or the George Foreman recipes here.

In addition you can check out the video our MNers helped create following the recent demo day in Manchester here

Thanks and good luck
MNHQ

Sticky chicken

Chicken cut into strips, marinate in ziplock bag with juice of 2 limes, 2 tablespoons of honey (big glug), tablespoon of soy sauce for about 30 mins - 1hr. Grill and serve with rice and salad. Yum yum.

It's long winded but loved...

Finely slice an onion
Finely cube 2 carrots, red pepper, a handful of mushrooms and a garlic clove
Fry until cooked (I use rapeseed oil)
Carefully fold into 500g of sausage meat, using a beaten egg if needed or a dollop of honey (can also use beef or turkey mince)
Divide into 4 or 6 and shape into burgers
Sprinkle with flour
Grill

If you're super chef some grated cheese in the middle turns them into gorgeous cheesy melts too.

Crush some garlic and mix it into butter.
Take a pitta bread and score lines into it. Brush the garlic butter over it and grill/BBQ until crispy. It's so simple yet a big favourite at our house

If there's still time to submit a recipe - this is one of our favourite grill/BBQ recipes. We simply call it "Feta Peppers" (instructions for this is based on using a standard grill, but lots of fun to BBQ)

Take 4 peppers (we prefer red/orange or yellow peppers for the sweetness)
Depending on shape and size either quarter or half, and remove the seeds etc.

Lightly score and season with sea salt and black pepper.

Drizzle very lightly with olive oil and cook inside-down for approximately 4 minutes.

Remove from the grill, turn back up, and add squares of feta cheese to the insides of the peppers, then drizzle again with olive oil.

Return to the grill and cook under the peppers are just starting to blacken very slightly, and the feta is softened and starting to bubble

Best eaten immediately with fingers, although it is a little messy! Delicious, and something that the whole family can enjoy. Perfect with a couscous salad, or as a side accompaniment to grilled meat.

The absolute favourite grill/BBQ recipe in our house is Cool Cumin Chicken. Easy peasy and only a couple of ingredients. Total staple and keeps beautifully moist.

Chicken breasts (sliced into mini fillets), 1 per person
Large tub of natural yoghurt
1 tbsp cumin
Ciabatta bread
Lettuce
Tomato
Red onion

Mix yoghurt and cumin and adjust quantity of Cumin to taste.
Add to gallon size ziplock bag along with chicken
Shake to coat and leave for a few hours in the fridge
Grill until cooked through, turning frequently and adding extra yoghurt mix if needed if dries out
Slice and Grill ciabatta and serve with salad

We often make honey, sesame and soy vegetable kebabs to go with these. Peppers, mushrooms, red onion, courgette chopped and alternated on kebab sticks.
Mix honey and sesame in a bowl and drizzle over
Sprinkle sesame seeds over and grill.

Yum yum!

Nutella and Banana Toasty!

Spread 1 slice of bread thickly with Nutella
Chop one banana up and spread evenly over another slice of bread
Sandwich the two pieces together and grill in your toasting device
Yummy!

Probably a bit late to the party here but here's mine: LAMB, CHORIZO AND HALOUMI BURGERS

You need:
Lamb mince
Fresh rosemary
breadcrumbs
one egg
tomato purée
burger buns of your choice
sliced chorizo
haloumi

Mix together the lamb mince, finely chopped rosemary, breadcrumbs, a tablespoon of tomato purée and egg, and season with salt and pepper. Do it with your hands, even though it feels vile. Flour your hands and shape the mixture into burgers. Chill for 40 minutes then grill. When the burgers are almost done, fry the slices of chorizo and haloumi and a small pan. Build your burger and voila! So simple but tastes amazing.
