Should I ask on Social media

DS school need a new chair for their fundraising commitee but no one has offers yet. I couldn’t organise a p up in a brewery, if I took the position it just wouldn’t work but is it worth asking for volunteers on Facebook or a site like Nextdoor or is that not advisable?

Not really advisable and not your place to do it also.
Can it not be advertised in the school newsletter? There has bound to be someone with association to the school that would be interested.
