Bit of a bad day today at school.

Just found him upstaiirs in ds2's bedrrom eating pizza (had to fetch him out of the baby's cot earlier) stripped off to his vest (pants off as well) wearing one of ds2's t-shirts on his bottom. Ah well at least he tried.

He spent about 40 mins this evening staring at the toilet.

~time for a cuddle I think. Not sure what's got into him.

J may have heightened energy....but I certainly havent!!!!!Wish I knew where I could get some from!!

I tried the camera but it looks as though someone (my money's on ds2) has rewound the bl**dy film when it was only halfway through. Aaarrrgghh!

Just trying to work out if I can get him on the video camera without all the clutter getting into the shot.

"Heightened energy" is a perfect description of ds2 at the moment.

He's finally given up and fallen asleep on a cushion - wearing only a nappy and a pair of Thomas the Tank Engine wellies.

Don't know if it sheds any light on your problems ('scuse the pun) but the moon is currently in waxing gibbous - means it is in the phase between 2nd quarter and full. Tends to cause much heightened energy.

Ds2 has been in a funny mood for the last couple of days. The meltdowns have been almost continuous. I wondered if he was coming down with something but he seems physically fine.

Anyone know when the next full moon is?

Maybe he likes the "smallness" of the cot. you know how children with ASD like to be wrapped up and squeezed? Roll him up in a duvet and put him UNDER the mattres tonight

Jimjams.....after having almost 4 weeks of good sleep pattern with J, the past three nights he has hardly slept. Wednesday night I didnt even make it to my bed as I spent the night going up and down the stairs with J!!!!!
Last night J went to bed at 8.30....slept til midnight and then woke up and was wide awake til 2.45!!!!He slept then til 4.30 and has just fallen asleep!!!!
Do you know if it is a full moon????? There definatelty seems to be a pattern emerging as to J's sleep pattern being disrupted......mine too!!!

could be coming up to a full moon as ds1 was awake last night for the first time in weeks. Will check on my moon calendar.

jj - dd1 seems to long for the cot even though she had been out of it almost 6 months when dd2 came along and we have only just put dd2 into the cot. If dh lifts dd1 up and into the cot she immediately settles into sleep position and gets all comfy....

It could be the weather etc... we noticed that children's behaviour at school definitely changed with the weather, seasons and the moon funnily enough. Rainy weather and windy days seemed to set some children off.

and no he isn't insane.

Changing of the seasons maybe?

DD is off the planet at the moment too!
I definitely think other things affect them- weather, planetary movements...

They said it had been an uphill day, thought he might be constipated, and thought it wasn't helped by rain meaning they had to come inside.

He's a bit up and down at the moment.
