This has come up on the UK ABA Facebook page and may be of interest to some of you. Nothing to do with me, although I do know Patrick McGreevy who is a big shot in the world of ABA.

Announcing a workshop...

Lifelong Planning and Learning for Children and Adults
with Mild-to-Severe Disabilities, including Autism:

The VB-MAPP and ESSENTIAL FOR LIVING

conducted by
Patrick McGreevy

9:00 a.m. -- 4:30 p.m.
April 25 and 26, 2014

Imperial College London
Royal School of Mines
Room G.01
(Ground Floor)
London SW7 2AZ
Tube Station: South Kensington

sponsored by
Talking Autism

Registration: £ 245 per person until April 5
£ 270 per person after April 5
add £ 113 for a copy of Essential for Living
with a Learner Scoring Manual
12 BACB CEUs at no extra charge

The VB-MAPP is a criterion-referenced assessment,
a developmental curriculum, and a skill-tracking instrument.
Essential for Living is a functional skills curriculum,
a curriculum-based assessment, and a skill-tracking instrument.

This workshop will describe how to coordinate and use these instruments
to plan an ongoing program of instruction for children and adults with
mild-to-severe disabilities, including, but not limited to, autism.

I would love to hire you if I could afford to hire anyone!!!
I wonder if another preschool-age parent has miraculously managed to get allocated respite hours... if so they could use their 'care' allocated direct payments to train and employ you to do ABA with babysit their child while they have a little break take yours to the park

Anyone wanna hire me?

I have a cupboard full of likely re-inforcers for the pre-school age. I will work for expenses plus course fee if you look after my toddler while I do it.

Star, you need to offer yourself as a 'senior tutor' (ie not a qualified consultant, but not a £12/hour student) to a rich family doing ABA

Work for 3 hours twice a month, and they can pay for the course Wink
