Severe anxiety in toddler - anyone?

hi all dd2 not yet 2 years old. I'm struggling with her :( salt saw her at home and disagreed with portage report that said social communication difficulties/social interaction problems despite me explaining that in home environment she is far more comfortable. Salt did say oral motor problems.
Anyway she has sensory integration problems. She has attended CDC weekly for 8 months with me for 4 hours a week yet is still highly anxious there will not let me leave the room even to go to the toilet so I have to have lunch in room with her and don't get a break.

At home she cannot bear it if I leave her with OH and go out the room. I would've thought by now she would be used to CDC and be comfortable there. Today she was terrible, she freaked when she turned and saw a bag next to her immediately became hot an sweaty and started stumbling around and getting very anxious. I dont know what to do when she's like this she's also very anxious of other children and gets scared of them easily. Although I can now see why she didn't settle at nursery and Childminders I don't have a clue how I can help her progress forward . Did anyone have a child that was like this when they were a toddler and what strategies did you find that worked? If anything she's becoming worse over the last month or so and not better :( it's like she is permanently attached to me and whilst I adore her I would like to have some quiet time with dd1

Thanks Lenin we've been granted some carer hours so will make use of these. It's just so frustrating when profs see her at home and think all is well except for a few quirks when it isn't. UnfortunTley we have to attend CDC for as long as they deem it necessary or until she turns 5!

Thanks Lenin can I ask has your ds got anxiety on it's or with other conditions?

Dd1 was like that as a toddler, we couldn't take her anywhere, we tried her at nursery and she cried the whole time she was there so we took her out for a year. She was very clingy, followed me around, would not go with anyone else, hated anyone talking to her or touching her. We put her into a different nursery when she was 3, it took months for her to settle but eventually she did and loved it. She's now 7 and i can leave her with people, she's not clingy but still suffers with some anxiety. I think at the age of 2 she was at her worst.

Thanks Marne that's good to know she settled at 3, dd went to nursery at 12 months and refused to eat the entire time she was there (9-5) and only stayed in one corner of the room. She didn't settle in 2 months. Put her with childminder that she knew and she was better and ate but after couple weeks she got bad and started crying and screaming a lot. I will wait until she's 3 and starts her free nursery sessions and see how she goes - doubtful I will get her in the door if things don't improve though!

Chundle- i would deffently wait until she's 3, she may still take a while to settle but will have a better understanding of whats going on and understand that you will be back in a few hours to get her (and you can use bribery to get her in the door). My DD1 has Aspergers syndrome (i would say its mild) but things have got a lot easier as she has got older.

my dd1 is 7 she has adhd and asperger traits shes a dream compared to DD2!!! DD2 has sensory integration issues,and major sleep issues and they think visual perception difficulties. She has some odd behaviour (licking/biting things fiddling with things and obsessive behaviour)They said shes very 'complex' and 'deep' child in terms of how to deal with her and she certainly doesnt fit any category 100%
