Off to a soft play birthday party (DD's second birthday party invite ever)..I know the host as she is a good friend but noone else.

All the other girls are NT and will no doubt sit nicely and eat their food while I have to wrestle DD. I will also have to climb around the soft play in ungainly fashion instead of watching and chatting, as she needs help on it.

Still, pleased she got an invite though (albeit not one from nursery yet after a year)!

Hehe, you should look at a website called "Damn you autocorrect" - very funny!

Glad the party was a success, what was the food like after? Nightmare or was it ok?

I had to go on the bouncy castle a lot as she kept lying down and I was worried her head would get squashed!

Got a small chat on but there were only a few mums there and they weren't very chatty!

One child there was visibly ill and just wanted to sit down, which I wasn't too impressed about, she should have been in bed, hope Dd doesn't catch it as she has her reschedules neuro appt next Tuesday!

excellent- glad she had a good time- did that mean you had a bit of time to chat- or did you have to go on the B.C ?

DD is running up and down and jumping about in excitement since i explained about the party, I wish the nursery parents could see her, I think they think she wouldn't enjoy a party!!

erk I am just realising that all the food will probably have egg in it!

Thanks for the good wishes!

Enjoy! Just think of all the calories you'll be burning running after her while the others drink lattes and eat scones! :)

Hope she has a great time!!

she does have allergies actually, so have to take her Epipens and keep a close eye on her, adds a bit of stress.

Thanks re the congrats, would really love it if someone from nursery invited her, but she was asked on a playdate by two mums at nursery so there is hope!

Perhaps you could back off from the food entirely, claiming she has allergies due to her SN?? That way you only have the soft play thing to worry about.

DNephew's birthday was at soft play and I spent a lot of time chasing entertaining DNiece (5, ASD) so her Mum could concentrate ont he birthday. Nobody batted an eyelid, although i'm pretty unfussed about these things, probably because I only get to do it infrequently so it feels like a treat to spend time with her iyswim Smile

Congrats on the social acceptance Grin

Good luck, i hope she has a great time.

The dd's have a invite to a soft play party in a few week, dd2 has sudenly developed a phobia of birthdays (went mad news years day as i mentioned it was the dogs birthday), i think its to do with singing happy birthday (she hates people singing badly).
