As we are moving into a new year, I thought we should start a new thread. Everyone is welcome to join who is following the SW plan.

I'm Groovee. Joined my local group in January 2017. Had lost a stone at that point in 6 months. Then took 14 months to lose 4.5st and have been at target since March 2018. I've bumbled my way through target since then. Still attend group regularly as I need the accountability. I'm still learning new things all the time.

Look forward to chatting. As I'm at the top of my target, I want to lose at least 5lb in by February.

This thread has gone very quiet.

I have 8 weeks prepaid so I don’t want to waste them and I have rejoined today and need to be on it.

SW
No booze
Up the walking
Water

I have gained about 10lbs.

Zooming tonight.

I've just restarted SW. Lost the baby weight I gained from having my son successfully with the plan 3 years ago. Have since had another baby and haven't lost a pound...she's nearly 2!!

I've got a stone to lose. I know it doesn't sound much but I am only 5'2 - so on my frame it would make a massive different. Plus I am gaining weight due to comfort eating and lockdown.

Today I had porridge (hexb) with milk (hexa) and a tsp of honey (syns). Lunch was chicken with salad and pasta with mayo (syns). Dinner was roast beef and vegetables with gravy (syns). My other syns were a small bag of popcorn and some jelly babies. I snacked on fruit and had two mullerlight yoghurts. Ended the day on 12.5 syns.

Ate a lot today as I was tired and hungover but stuck to plan. Tomorrow no hangover so will be easier!!

Hi @GoofyLuce. Good luck with it all. I gave up smoking ages ago, but still have the odd one when I get drunk! Here's a few simple ideas, apologise if to simple!

Chicken breast pizza hex a of cheese
Salmon fillet
Any lean meat grilled
Omelette with veg/lean meat filling and a little bit of cheese.
Jacket spud with tuna/beans
Roasted chicken legs

Any of that appeal?

Hi everyone

I've decided over the past few weeks to start sorting myself out. My weight is out of controll 5 ft 2 weighing 13st 6 lbs. I'm so unhealthy. I have also decided to quit smoking at the same time so it will be extra difficult but I thought i may aslwell start fresh.

I've done slimming world before but struggled with the constant shopping!

Does anyone have any simple, cheap meal ideas that I could just eat with a salad or a plate of veg. I've found before that I don't control my potions very well so I need to bare that in mind when planning my meals (no piling my plate with carbs)

And advice welcome Grin

Thanks halfstone. I'm trying to stay off the booze, that's always the thing that stops me losing!

@OwlinaTree well done! It’s really hard during lockdown so you’ve done really well to lose. Hope you have a good week. I’ll use you as my inspiration as I’ve really not been on it for weeks and my excuses of not being able to get the right foods is no longer valid!

Hope everyone is ok. I sts last week but lost 1/2 lb this week. It's hard work though in this lockdown. I tried a new recipe today, pea and ham soup from the app. Was really nice, very filling.

I'm weighing in tomorrow morning. Would be pleased to sts, would be really pleased with 1lb off.

I'm a long-time target member, and I've kept to plan and stayed in target.
Been weighing myself once a week at home: had to buy bathroom scales, as I've only ever weighed at group.
It's not been difficult to keep to plan, as my working life has stayed the same( HCP).
I miss my fellow group members, and I miss my regular yoga and aquacise classes, which help with maintaining weight.

Hi everyone, how are all you getting on? I haven't posted for ages but I've been following the plan, and I've stayed at target. I'm wondering how it's going to go now we are at home a lot, at the moment I'm ok and sticking to plan, but it's early days. I've been doing my exercise every day, just don't want to put on lots of weight again!

Hi everyone. Hope everyone is OK in these weird times!! I've currently lost 19.5lb. I heard from my consultant tonight and she's said she's going into 12 week lock down as of now, because she falls into the high risk category for coronavirus (she's in recovery from breast cancer). I totally understand her situation, but I'm hoping to carry on at home......just hope I can control myself!!! Xx

Well done @blardyfeck! No idea about the Frittata, I’d check the SW website!

Groups are interesting, I’ve been to many because it’s easier as I work odd hours so I’ve seen many different consultants lead group. The group that I attend most frequently has a truly fantastic consultant. She tells us to make a sign if we don’t want to talk! She doesn’t always go through everyone’s losses/gains. We even had a group dedicated to exercise (very unusual at SW and a one of the few things that I don’t like about it is their lack of looking at incorporating exercise). She’s also honest about some of things she’s asked to push from head office!

No weigh in for me for a while as life has been busy. Home scales are totally unreliable-I can lose 5 pounds by moving them to a different room!

Hope everyone here is ok x

Sorry to hijack the thread again....
How's everyone doing? I've had my first weigh in and I lost 3.5 lb which I'm pleased with.
The group bit was interesting. The leader went round and announced everyone's losses (everyone lost or maintained which was pretty good) and everyone got a clap. Bit weird but it's good to share progress I suppose.
How's everyone got on this week?
And does anyone know how to cook frittata? Would you pan fry the veg, and put it in the oven with the beaten egg or would you do it in a frying pan and then under the grill?
Thanks

Nice one, I love hearing about losses Smile
I've been a bit off plan today (a lot actually) but I'll be back on it tomorrow.

I lost 3lb last night.

2 stone 3lb off now and I’m currently 11 stone 13lb.

I really enjoy the plan as I can eat

Ok so I had the grilled fish skewers (king prawn, sea bass & salmon) with salad (no dressing). I didn't have a starter just some olives. 1 lotus biscoff biscuit at home (2 syns).
I think it was ok. Don't know whether to add any syns on as it was probably cooked with oil?
All in all not a bad start. Feel positive about the week ahead.

We're going to a blimmin Italian restaurant not a Turkish one. What's the best thing to have? Pasta presumably?

Good work curlychocs, you must be chuffed.
Second day & I've done pretty well. Lots of fruit, veg & minimal syns.
I hope my enthusiasm doesn't wane & I can continue to resist the biscuits.
I've got lunch at a Turkish restaurant tomorrow but I think it shouldn't be too bad - kebab, rice & salad. I'll ignore the lovely warm bread Halo

Thanks everyone. Lost 3 lbs and got my stone award. Hoping manage to keep that off now and just keep losing.
