How to avoid gall stones?

Hi
I need to lose 2 1/2 stone and have bought all the necessary for stuff to follow slimming world. Can't go to classes as not practical for a number of reasons but I have the book and done it before so know it works.
I am 42 though and female and am I assume a candidate for gall stones. I obviously want to avoid them and have new job, unwell child so really can't be doing with getting an attack and time off work.
Am also going to 3 exercises classes a week to get fit at same time.
It seems the best way to avoid is to go for slow weight loss which is fine but how does one do this on slimming world if you follow it as it says???

The majority of women have gall stones but they don't cause a problem. Being over weight makes you a prime candidate to have problems from them so ditch the weight :)

My issues started 5 years after I lost my weight! Gall bladder gone now and has been for 6 years with little issues.

Hi Linda131963 . Thanks for your message. No gall stones but I do get some twinges in the same area so a bit paranoid about it. There seems to be a lot of discussion on the net about sw causing gall stones.

Do you actually have gall bladder issues?

Hi , read your post and am abit confused ? Have you had gall stones problems before ? Not sure why you think you could be likely to get them ? The slow weight loss thing , surely most weight loss is fairly slow if you are eating well even with exercise , does slimming world not promote loss of 1-2lb week likely ? Some seem to loose more , some less. I have averaged 3lb a week but l am at the start of my journey ! X
