First time on the SS board.

Started SS at the beginning of Jan and just had my 6th weigh in. I need to lose about 5st. I've stuck to plan, I've kept my syns below 10. I've avoided nights out, I'm not drinking, I've written everything down. In 6wks I've lost 8lbs, averaging 1.33lbs per week

Each week in group I listen to people talk about going out for Chinese or drinks and still losing 3/4lbs I'm not losing that much and I feel like I'm working quite hard at it. I just feel a bit rubbish really, I'm sure people must think I'm gorging on chocolate or something but I'm really not. It feels like I can't go out because if I do I will actually put on weight, whereas others in my group say things like "oh lost 2.5lbs this week, I'm really pleased with that, because I was out the other night"

Anyone else like this?

Lost 0.8kg this week so back to where I was 2 weeks ago. Pretty happy with that as it was my birthday yesterday so I had a couple of treats (a s'more at my family BBQ and my favourite dinner - Enchiladas). Got a few evenings of exercise planned in for this week as I have slipped with that since I got back from my holiday.

Firstly, try not to weigh yourself early. Stick to once a week at the same time as that will show your true weight loss. Just because it doesn't show any loss now, doesn't mean that you won't lose anything come weigh in.

Secondly, you need to have some more syns. You need to have between 5-15 per day. I actually lose more weight when I have more syns.

Other than that, it looks great :)

I have just joined and have been following it to the tee. But.... I weighed myself today (admittedly a couple of days early) and I have not lost a thing.

Am so fed up. I REALLY want this diet to work. I lost 2st with WW and put it all plus more back on. I just feel hungry all the time on WW.

This is what I have had:

Sunday - S food - plums x2, mushrooms, carrots, pear, baby sweetcorn, broccli, cabbage.

FF - bananna, chicken, bacon, baked beans, egg x2, potatoe

HEA - milk HEB - cereal

Syns - low fat spread and mini twister ice lolly = 4

Monday - S - plumx2, melon, cucumber, cabbage, carrots, lettuce, baby corn, kale, broccli

FF - pasta, chicken, eggx2, baked beans, fish, potatoe, corncob, bananna

HEA - milk HEB - cereal

syns - 4.5

where am I going wrong ? Sad

It is so annoying when you don't get why you have gained or sts. Have you been writing down what you are eating? I find food diaries a great way of getting back on track. I do so much better when I keep track of my food. At the end of the day, it could have been worse!

Hi there Emmaluvs & everyone. I put on 1/2 pound last weigh in. Really haven't a clue how it went wrong. So bloody slow. Not looking good for this week either. School holidays....sigh.

Had a bad week and gained 0.8 kg. Really annoyed at myself as I have undone the work from the last couple of weeks :( I know where I went wrong - we planned our meals but then didn't go food shopping, so we ended up eating rubbish all weekend. Back on it today and going food shopping tonight. I will regain my motivation!!!

Don't quit! Try not to compare yourself to others. You have no idea what their diet was like before starting SW; if they ate a really bad diet before, they are more likely to lose more weight. Other factors come into it as well. Just focus on yourself. 5 lbs in three weeks is great! That is a really healthy weight loss. Losing 3 or 4 lbs per week isn't sustainable in the long term.

It's going VERY slowly for me too. Week 3 and I've lost a whole 5lbs. There are people there who are not really any bigger than me, who are losing 3 or 4lbs a week. Thing is, if things don't work more quickly for me then I'm going to start resenting paying £5 a week to be told 'it's better than a lb on!!' I wasn't putting weight on anyway, I've just been the same weight since 6 weeks post childbirth.

Basically if I don't get a 2lbs or more loss this week I'll probably stop going. Yep, I'm a quitter!!

Lost 1.5 kg this week so finally got my 9 kg award :D I didn't have that great a week - ate more syns than usual and did no exercise. Also my time of the month, so wasn't expecting a loss at all. I wonder if my week off plan while on holiday helped to "restart" my body in some way. I hadn't really lost much in the last month, so great to be back on track.

How has everyone else got on this week?

Well, the plan went completely out of the window during my holiday! Had puddings, ice cream, lots of chips and anything else naughty you can think of. However, I did a lot of exercise (I got over 10,000 steps on my fitbit every day except one where we were cycling instead), so I was very relieved to stay the same weight as I was 2 weeks ago! Straight back on plan this morning :)

O.5lbs off. I've dawdled along the last couple of weeks. This week I'm upping my speed food for a bigger loss.
Hope you're enjoying your holidays, schools still going here

Not sure how I got on this week. Wasn't able to weigh today as I am currently in Amsterdam on holiday for the week. Trying to be careful with what I eat but also making sure I enjoy myself! We are camping so able to cook meals ourself. I did have chicken satay with peanut sauce and chips for lunch though.
