Bad time to think about 'sleep training'?

Next week I return to work and DS (13 mo) starts nursery 3 days a week. He's currently bf and is waking 2-6 times a night when I go in feed him and crawl back to bed.
I'm well and truly knackered.
I'm looking to start something like Jay Gordon's sleep training asap i.e. tonight but do you think this is bad timing with nursery looming? I'm worried that he'll think I've abandoned him daytime and nighttime
What does anyone think - should i delay sleep training for a month or so?

Tbh my initial reaction would be 'no, don't try it for a while', but I think you should see how it goes; your DS may well be exhausted after nursery and sleep better anyway.

Does anybody think it's worth a shot?

I wouldn't do it now personally. I think it's more likely to fail if you do it at a time when DS is already a little disturbed from his normal patterns. That's just my gut instinct though.
