Transition from sleepyhead to cot hell...when will it stop?!

Our little one is 6months old and been in her sleepyhead since she was 2 weeks!

She recently started acting annoyed about how restrictive it was so 2 nights ago we went cold Turkey and removed it from her cot (she has been in her cot in her own room for over a month now). The last two nights have been so hard...she wakes 4/5 times after being put down and the 3/4 times after we go to bed too. Just wondering if anyone else went cold turkey and experienced this hell? And how long it lasted for?? I'm so tempted to put her back in the sleepyhead but as it's only been 2 nights know we should give it longer!

Any suggestions or info on how long this lasts would be greatly appreciated!!

As a pp recommended we took the sausage part out and put it under the sheet in the cot, he seemed to get used to this quite quickly (we had a few unsettled nights) and then we moved it out to the edge and then finally removed it completely. Like you we couldn't justify/didn't want to buy the grande as we travel/stay with family a bit and it wouldn't fit in a suitcase like the smaller one.

Take the u shape part out and put it under the cot sheet and widen it every night over a couple of weeks then take out. Worked with both of my kids

@Spammy89 think how much sleep you can get between now and when its time to remove the bigger one 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

Thanks everyone...I'm hoping to avoid forking out for the bigger one...money is tight with me being on mat leave! And I wonder if going for the bigger one is just delaying the problem? Will we not still have this problem when it's time to remove the bigger one? I miss sleep! Haha!

I second the Sleepyhead Grande! Much more room for baby to move about yet still feel snug.

Get the sleepyhead Grande. Worth the money and we used it for years, girls still lay on it now and they are all 5+!

@Spammy89 is she in the smaller one or the next size up? DC is in the next size up but hes 14 months, He usually sleeps with his head on the side of it and his legs anywhere that will fit 😂.

I had the same issue and ended up forking out for the sleepyhead grand.. it's a lot of money but was worth it for us.

I took the long part out of the sleepyhead and put it under the cot sheet, but made it wider... we then slowly made it wider till I removed it completely about 2 weeks later xx

@JustLikeJasper the reason we took it away was because she was waking up and getting angry that she couldn't roll onto her side in so we figured it was time to take it away. I'm impressed your DC is able to move around it so much!

@Spammy89 i would give it back to her, my DC has always had one too and is literally all over the place usually sleeps upside down in it but can't sleep without it.
