DS has always slept really well - he loves his sleep. Until the night before last when we were up for hours with teething, and then last night when he woke up every hour and screamed for half an hour, and then eventually wouldn't go back down at all...even me cuddling him in bed or walking round with him made no difference.
I changed his nappy, offered a bottle, gave him Calpol/Nurofen in case it was teeth again, played a little in the dark...but eventually the only thing to do was put him back in his cot as nothing was obviously "wrong" or made any difference. After a little while he fell asleep - screaming one minute and then silence and snoring...
He has just started full on separation anxiety during the day, so I don't know if it's something to do with that - I was in the room with him the whole time, his cot is still at the end of my bed, we were about to move him when the anxiety started, so now is not the time...
Any ideas or ways to help him much appreciated. It was awful seeing him so upset, and awful not to be able to soothe him. We have been very lucky that up until now he has slept brilliantly, so apologies to everyone whose baby has been like this for months!
