Desperately looking for a solution to the current problem of my 5 month old flailing around in his cot in the middle of the night and getting trapped on his front (he can roll back to front, but not front to back). Last night it was pretty much every 15 mins for five hours. He'd roll to front, widthways at the opposite end of his bed, get stuck then cry. I've just fitted mesh cot bumpers so hopefully no trapped limbs tonight. Has anyone else had issues with their baby being this active at night? Did it end? How did you deal with it? TELL ME IT ENDS!

I tend to just not turn them back if they are so keen.

But something you could try is a sheet tucked in really tightly (cot blanket sideways across the cot - so lots of extra material to tuck in), this effectively pins the baby down.

You can tuck a sheet over the top of baby in sleeping bag (if you use a sleeping bag) as long as you amend her clothing accordingly.

I stopped turning mine back over around this age and I realised he actually preferred sleeping on his tummy! All those nights of constant flipping him back over and the first night left him on his tummy he slept 9 hours straight.

I seriously considered duct taping my ds to the mattress when he started that.
It didn't last long, a week or two, then he figured he was much more comfortable on his front anyway.
is he in a sleeping bag? That seems to help a little. Other than that, I think it's just a case of riding it out, sorry.
