It was a mistake the Maryz thread - a user1234 troll turned up and was writing unbelievably horrific things so literally everyone on the thread was reporting them. Hq saw a million reports of this user1234 person and in their haste to delete it (really, the things they said were that awful) deleted the whole thread by accident, thinking they were the OP.

@Maryz:

There is a big difference between someone saying "I feel like I should be a woman because my male genitals don't feel right" - which acknowledges biological reality - and saying "I feel like a woman, therefore I am a woman", which implies that all a woman is is a bunch of misogynist stereotypes.

I still don't think that a male person who gets surgery is a woman thereafter, but if the problem was with their own body, then that should not matter so much to them, because the body will be different, and that fact will need no outside validation.

Tara Hewitt is the NHS national lead on equality & diversity. This comment comes from a recent discussion about transwomen in women's sports, during which Tara also said that anyone who recognises biological differences between the sexes is a neo-Nazi bigot who should join UKIP:

"A trans woman is just entitled to play sport with women as a black woman or a gay woman or any woman your really a vile person".

Note the assumption that the only women concerned about these issues are the straight white ones.

Sophia Brooks should be Sophia Banks, sorry. A Canadian activist who appears in the media, who's very vocal online about female penises and the cotton ceiling and who has been known to invite people to "suck my formaldehyde-pickled balls".

Ego AFAIK you're the only regular trans person who posts on the trans threads and FWIW I also think it's important to have that POV in these discussions, and I for one do appreciate your input even if I don't agree with absolutely everything you say. Hope that doesn't sound patronising
