Hi all,
We obviously cannot discuss individual members and the status of their accounts with other MNers (if we did, we'd be here All Day, believe us...Grin) but of course if the person concerned wishes to get in touch we will be all ears.
Thanks.

Probably , but really, how hard is it to say "Yes you have to get back in touch with us" or "no, we should have done it after a week automatically, soz, will get onto it."

There certainly isn't an auto-reinstate.

TBH, if a ban is indeed temporary and the poster in question has been told this, then usually a mail from them to us with an assurance that they'll abide by the rules will elicit a response from us.

We are human and we do make mistakes and are usually happy to hold up our hands and fess up if something's been forgotten or whatever.

To clarify. We think our Talk Guidelines are pretty clear on this - we don't tolerate personal attacks and encourage people to report those who do this.

We also ask folk not to troll hunt.

We absolutely don't ban people lightly, and usually we email persistent offenders asking them to adhere to the guidelines before we get the "ban hammer" out.

Peace and love, people.

Hi Thumb happy to be here. I must say though you get a damn site more done when not MNing. I may have to ask MNHQ for a short ban every few months so I can catch up on RL Grin
