Kingswood Secondary Corby - anyone know anything about it?

We moved to new Little Stanion village recently from another part of the county and applied for school places f or DS3 and DS4 - yrs 9 and 7 respectively. Applied for Brooke Weston and Corby Business Academy as Little Stanion is a feeder village for both and they they have good reputations. All 4 DSs are currently at school in Northampton 40 mins away but I'm only moving the younger two as the older two two are sitting A levels and GCSEs this year and will then leave their current school.

Both chosen schools are full so we've been offered Kingswood School. This is much further away from our home, in a not particularly nice area. Before moving to new grounds in 2013 and being classed as a new Academy it was in special measures. There is no Ofsted info or DFE data as it was classed as a new school when it moved into the new premises as an Academy. My ExH has been there in a work capacity and says it's very rough.

I don't know what to do, the current long school run isn't working - DS4 has complex medical issues and gets sent home unwell frequently so the distance of their current school is really presenting issues.

Anyone have any experience of Kingswood?
