Independent wetcountry schools advice

Hello, new here :)

Our eldest ds is going for a sports scholarship at Blundell's and Taunton School for Sixth Form. Would be day with flexi-boarding. His best sports are rugby and athletics and he's average academically. We've seen both schools, both very different. Would appreciate feedback on either school in terms of sporting/academic/pastoral/social ethos. Many thanks

No advice about independent schools but having taken the train to Taunton last winter am lovin' your "wet"country title. Its sure wet west of Bristol
