Watford Grammar, Northwood College

Anybody at these schools and got any opinions or know something now they wished they had known before they joined ?

SH is a very short walk from Northwood Station and plenty of girls take public transport to both NC and SH. Some people feel that SH is more pushy than NC - but the best bet is to have a look around each of the schools and go with your gut feeling.

Thanks Sportsmum, no reason, we will have a look St Helens as well. Just trying to stick to schools that are easy commute by tube or bus. We are in catchment for Watford Grammar but are looking at indepedents as well, even though we have never gone down that road before. The state secondaries in Watford/Rickmansworth seem to be very good in comparison to elsewhere but not sure how they compare with the local independents. Our DD is bright, but consistently seeks reassurance and not sure if smaller class sizes would help her believe in herself and her abilities a bit more.

Both very good schools. Know the schools by reputation only - but haven't heard negative comments. If you are looking at NC, may I ask why you are not looking at St Helen's as well?
