Nuna Trive Next or Oyster 3?

We are completely on the fence about the right pram for us and hoping your experiences can help!

We live in the city and are after light-small-nippy pram that won't break our backs and will serve well on public transport. However, we also like to do a lot of walking, this might be on streets / paths or country parks (we will carry if we are more 'off road'). We want it to be able to cope with the odd rough path that we might come across and to be able to handle several-hour pavement walks.

We have got it down to the Nuna Trive Next on the 'city' side of the fence which gives us the features we want and small/light/easy fold; and then the Oyster 3 as something that we think will be able to handle a bit more terrain/walking and although it's a bit heavier/bulkier (which isn't ideal) it seems one of the lightest with larger wheels.

We are just stuck and going back and forth, I'd really really appreciate your experiences of either of these and your thoughts on what terrain and walking distances they can each handle??

Thank you!

I've had oyster3 since newborn, my daughter is now 2.5 and just considering getting something different as although she is below the weight limit she's definitely a bit too tall for it now. Wish we didn't have the height issue as it has otherwise been perfect!

I live in a city/market town, paved but can be uneven. I do minor off roading, eg park and easy paths in woods. I've walked miles and miles with it and it's so easy to push & manoeuvre. basket isn't giant like the vista but you can still cram loads in. On mat leave I didn't drive so walking with the oyster was my sole method of transport; even after that we still do most things (inc nursery drop offs) on foot, and it continues to be the only place she will nap so it must be comfy! it has served us very well!! Picked mine up second hand and it was one of my best buys for value & amount of use it has had. Can't comment on public transport ease as the transport round here is shocking (hence my walking). I'd happily get it on/off a bus or train, wouldn't want to be trying to manage it on an escalator or a long staircase on a regular basis (it's fine on short runs of steps).

Occasionally we take it in the car and it fits in the boot of our small hatchback, although does pretty much fill it. I think that's more a reflection on the size of our car than size of the buggy...!! Things like bugaboo fox, uppababy vista etc would never have fitted our car.

I've got a nuna, it's rubbish. Save yourself the hassle and get anything other than a nuna.

Thank you! Can I ask what has it been about the Nuna Triv that hasn't worked for you??

Thank you! That's really helpful - good to know about the height too we're both over 6ft so expecting looong baby! We'd hoped with a long-ish seat / hood extension it might last us a bit longer but may have to manage our expectations!
