I couldn't decide which would do everything for me, but Silver Cross definitely ticked the most boxes and was always my preferred choice. I have the Kensington for lovely long dog walks from home (but will go in the car if absolutely necessary) and the Sleepover Elegance for going out and about in the car or around town. The classic chassis is brilliant and sturdy and great off road but we got the Linear chassis as well for manoeuvring smaller shops etc. The sleepover is great as the car seat can go straight onto either chassis and the pushchair will last well into 2 years or more.
I rather liked the Bebecar but was put off by the oval shape of the carrycot and couldn't get to grips with the front wheel steer. My husband and I looked at almost every system available and personally never found anything that comes close, either too small or too plasticky. If you just want one, I would definitely go for the Sleepover Elegance (only because the Kensington won't last that long and you'll soon need a pushchair).

I didnt like the Bebecar one for some reason but only used it in the shop.

I walk everywhere and absolutely love my Emmaljunga City Cross, it has amazing suspension, huge seat, lays flat, built in sun canopy, mosquito net, puncture proof tyres and is relatively compact considering its a proper pram type thing.

Another thing i love about it (which others hate) is that the seat is very low down BUT i do find this makes it much better balanced when traipsing through mud and it also encloses the child more so keeps them cosier.

So the oyster is off the cards then i don't want a shoddy pram only the best will do also started looking at bebecar grand and babystyle prestige today has anyone ever had one of those ?

Oh okay, the new one is quite improved in terms of the seat, I have used an older one and definitely would not choose that for anything other than quite smooth pavements.

No the Oyster i'm looking at is a special edition package i found online, i think winstanleys in wigan have them on show its £615 for the whole kit.The normal Oysters look a bit shoddy in terms of the fabrics i'd only buy the special edition oyster if i went for it.

Do you mean the oyster max? The oyster 2 is £299 plus another £70 for the colour pack.

If I was using something for muddy walks first and foremost I would look for something more specifically designed for that. A mountain buggy, a tfk, possibly an emmaljunga.

I had a twone, which has the same chassis pretty much as a jane muum and it wasn't really suitable for prolonged walks over terrain, okay occasionally but not all the time. Ditto the oyster and oyster max. If your walks are just muddy but not off road then anything pretty much should okay.

Had a b agile briefly after the Vista. Overall I liked it but DD didn't like that the seat wasn't fully upright, she kept slumping. It feels much heavier / harder to steer than a Vista IMO. I did quite like it though.

Baby jogger city minis always gets good reviews. Not the best looking compared to others though!

Similar price to the vista. I borrowed a friends oyster and thought from the way it handled that it was quite a cheap buggy ?!

Vista is great, we live in a village and have an allotment and country walk to pub.
Massive undercarriage and even my mum can put it up and down.
Plus wheels all click on and off with ease so even fits in my sisters polo.
Also both rain covers (included) fit over maxi cosi car seat - bonus.
Also you can buy different coloured hoods etc if you fancy a change. We have black one but bought coloured hood for pram. Only £30

Oyster is £615 and the Uppababy is £599 price is no problem for me though i like the Uppababy because its nice and high up and its top of the mumsnet best list so i automatically went with it

I don't know about any of the others on the list except that the Vista was 10 times nicer to use/push/ handle than the Oyster. The seat is much bigger too. I think that's all reflected in the prices though as Oysters are about half the price I think? Someone knowledgable will come along in a bit I expect. But our Vista worked very well on smooth roads, bumpy fields and also on snow. Also had lots of features and everything was included in the one price. It is quite wide. That's about the only negative I have. We sold ours for £350 after 14 months so excellent resale value. It looked immaculate aswell, really good quality build
